Wow.. that is absolutely wonderful. 50 lbs in a month!!!!!! No that is not slow at all.. it is fast!!

As far as the eating goes, see if you can order off of the kids menu or the senior menu and if not then you will have leftovers. Get some type of lean protein type of food.. i.e. steak, chicken, whatever you can have at your stage.

When you are stressing, walk, walk walk.. that is about all I can offer there.. or find something constructive to do. Try not to go for the chips or candy. Grab some water and water load so you don't have room for that stuff.. keep a protein bar in your purse if you can have those now. I can't remember the first stages very well.. sorry.

Good luck to you and we hope your Aunt is better soon.

Too early for water loading...I think that's recommended around six months.

You'll have to learn to get use to the questions when eating out. Even with kid's portions, it's still a lot. I've used lines like, "I'm diabetic" I'm allergic to sugar" I'm full/not rally hungry" and sometimes even the truth if the wait staff really seem upset that i hardly touched my food.

I always find soup the safest to have while eating out. Sometimes I'll ask if there's a plate charge to share the meal with someone.

Default Linda,

I'm 12 weeks out and I'm .5 pounds from being down 50 pounds and 1 pound from being below 200. You're loosing really fast! Enjoy the process/progress.
