WOW indeed! You look amazing. I noticed that your skin looks like it's making a smooth transition as well. Congratulations!

You know......I have this theory.......for some of us I think there are times we get bigger and we are in so much denial and are so wrapped up in other things we just ignore it and don't weigh. I was 2 lbs under my highest weight ever when I had surgery....then a few months back my sis found a pic too that I was obviously waaaaay bigger than just prior to surgery. I couldn't believe it! Now I wish I knew my real highest weight so I could claim it....daggone it I'd be in the century club for sure. You look awesome and have done an amazing job.

You look amazing - and I get the whole self-deception thing - I thought I looked GOOD in my photos, but now I see how heavy I really was. You're doing very, very well - we're proud of you!

you are funny jen - i don’t think i will ever be as small as Brit & really don’t want to she’s only 110 lbs and wears a 3 sometimes a 5 but i am happy at 137 wearing a 10 sometimes an 8 or even a 6 if it has stretch to it.

Marty ~ I am going to the Dr next week & I am going to ask the Dr to look up the weight i was when she referred me because i was heavier than when i met the surgeon the first time! So i want to use the heaviest weight...i think it was 244 but i will let you know

witticizm ~ i have been lucky my skin is not that bad, unless i am on all 4's than it hangs like a old dog that had pups i hate that so i try to avoid mopping the floor or any other thing that puts me on all 4's

FitGator ~ you know i am 34 & my kids NEVER said anything about me being fat over weight nothing! now when my son saw the photo he said , "ya mom you were huge" i gasped and he said" what? now you look good and are so skinny i could lift you up and throw you in the pool"
trust me your time will come dont get discouraged!
met surgeon in August 238
2nd appt Sept 231
oct 18, 2005 - day of surgery 225
Nov 18, 2005 - 1 month - 200 = 25 lbs gone
Dec 18, 2005- 2 months - 187 = 13 more lbs gone
Jan 18, 2006 - 3 months - 178 = 9 more lbs gone
Feb 18, 2006 - 4 months - 175 = 3 lbs (I thought, what am I doing wrong?)
march 18, 2006 5 months - 159 = 16lbs gone
April 18, 2006- 6 months - 153.5 = 5.5 lbs gone
May 18, 2006 7 months - 149 = 4.5 lbs gone
June 18 2006 - 8 months - 147 = 2.0 lbs gone
July 18 2006 - 9 months - 138.5 = 8.5 lbs gone (wow)

bt like they say its a life style change & i do agree - i mean i have put very little effort into losing the weight - barely working out i did an occasional 15 minutes on the elliptical trainer i bought at x-mas time really its my eating that has changed - i dont eat bread its a treat now for french bread and my slice is half of everyone elses i make my sandwiches different now - its two slices of pre sliced cheddar cheese from cosco with mayo salt & pepper and a lot of thin sliced turkey early on i figured out that if i ate a normal bread sandwich i couldnt eat but a few bites and my head didnt feel like i ate so i grazed after wards now i eat the entire thing and LOVE it! i do like my healthy choice fudge bars and POPCORN with a little butter and parmesan cheese and i snack on nuts i always have peanuts in the car! OH and i love chili with cheese & crackers I have to thank this board for that idea! i got a recipe for a very high protein chili & i love it!

thanks everyone for the encouragement and i hope to encourage others along te way...i am sorry i have not been on much but i am dealing with my cancer coming back and it appears it spread to the adrenal gland now i am meeting the surgeon on mon the 14th to decide what he wants to do...i will keep you updated!
