There was one thing that bugged me though. My gastro brought his assistant in for the dilation, when the assistant was talking to me he told me to be careful because now I will eat more and gain the weight back. What does that mean?! I think he is wrong, how can a dilation that will keep me from vomiting make me gain weight. I can see if I ate all day long, but I do not do that. Dammit, this is bugging me. Maybe y'all can give me your two cents. I had my first meal after the dilation and I ate quite well and quite a bit, which I knew happened but it does not stay like that, right? Help now I am paranoid!

I had regrets right when I woke up...I kept telling everyone "why did I do this to myself" I was so upset with all of the pain and thought I would never eat drink again....boy was I wrong.
Hernia repair after hernia repair after hernia repair.....5 times under anesthesia...I don't regret a minute...I wouldn't change a thing. Even with the saggy skin and PS surgeries and not being able to eat like I used to....I still don't regret a minute and you won't either.
Things will get better and you will feel more positive every day. It will be worth it for you. Hormones go wild and play a role in how you are feeling. This is all so normal. Just keep in touch with us and we will guide you through. This place is my backbone and I come here daily to get through and support everyone and receive whatever support I am lucky enough to get.
Best wishes...you will be ok.
