Default 6 week check up

Ok, I went in this morning for my 6 week check up. I have only lost 15 pounds since surgery. I'm actually not upset by this, because I have lost inches. My clothes are getting VERY loose and my little 'fat lump' under my knee is almost gone (I have had it for about 5 years, they tested it because it was a big lump and it was just a fat deposit, but looked horrible). They gave me my B-12 shot and reviewed my food journal. The nurse practioneer I saw said she didn't think I was eating or drinking enough. I'm getting between 40 and 50 grams of protien (exactly what they told me) and between 60 and 70 oz of fluid a day (they told me 64oz a day). I really feel I have been eating too much and that is why the weight is comming off slowly. I do sometimes still eat carbs, like this morning for breakfast my pouch was not happy, so I had 1/4 of an english muffin plain. For lunch I had 6 mini meatballs (about the size of swedeish meatballs) and I'm trying to force in more liquids.

Overall I think I'm doing ok, just wish it showed more

Jennifer give it time. This is a tool is will take a little time for it to do its job. Remember you must work with it. There are many GB patients who felt like this tool was moving slow but they either made it to goal or have accomplished many and great things in their lives. Living a healthier life and enjoying life is part of this journey as well not just losing the weight.

Default Happy!

I am pretty much happy with the whole process so far. I'm still getting used to being full or just having a funny feeling in my pouch all the time. I do miss Diet Coke! And with my PMS a Hot Fudge Brownie Delight would be great right now

You're doing great, Jennifer - you body is still healing. When you incorporate the excerceise, you will have more of an appetite, and the weight will come off as well. Keep up the great work!! Did the B12 shot help wuth your energy levels?

Default B-12

I don't know, should it have helped already? I dont' feel much different, I will have to see when I get home if I can do anything or just need to rest.
