Talking Hey Guys, I'm finally here on the losers bench!!

HI Everyone! It feels so good to be here at home and on the mend. My lap gbp went great on monday a.m.! They also removed my galbladder with no problems. The few hours after surgery were painful due to the gas, but alas it passed! (LOL forgive my pun) You all were right, I did fine. Sometimes it's hard to believe how fast our bodies snap back. I mean, I am really sore but considering what my bodies been through I am amazed at how I feel.

I was disappointed that they didn't weigh me in the hospital and you know that I jumped on the scales as soon as I got home today. To my dismay even though I have had very little over the last few days the scales haven't changed much at all. Could this be from all the fluids that they give you in the hospital?

Will some of you share your first week or two experiences with me? I anxious to hear how it went for others. Thanks for the Support, Christy

Christy, first of all welcome home and to the losing side. I'm glad to hear all went well. Don't worry about the scale. Most people put on weight from all of the fluid you get during surgery. You'll start dropping. I know I didn't even weigh myself until 2 weeks post-op and then I had dropped 20 lbs. Just take care of yourself. Don't push yourself too hard. Get your rest, sip your fluids and get your walks in.
