Red face Plastic Surgery....Is it for me??

Hello All!

I am hoping those of you who have had surgery such as TT or Breast lifts/enlargements can give me recommendations and advice. I am not quite ready as I still have like 45 more pounds to go but I want to get more information.

Where did you go for it?
Who do you recommend? (you can PM me if you don't want to say out in the formum)
How long were you out of work?
Which insurance covered it? What "helped" them cover it?
What did it cost you?
Did medical leave cover you?

Any dangers and pit falls you experienced would be helpful, AND any GOOD things that came of it..
thank you!

Hey girl,
you pretty much know my 411 on the subject, but if you have anything specific just ask!

I talked to Dr. Bolitho last week and says he is still willing to come to the support meeting and talk to us "lovely gastric patients". (He likes us!) I will try to paln it for September if that works out for he and us!
Good luck lil chili pepper!!!

I can't give Bridget the credit, as I have always had a gift (or curse) for re-naming people. After the party, lil miss chilli, earned the named as she fluttered her cute self about!

So, Marie does that make you Mrs. Beasley for calling me "Rain...my dear"?

I have had several procedures in my life with several different PS surgeons. I do know that some are out for a quick buck and some are butchers and some are great. Make sure to do your homework and know what is best for YOU. See a few different docs. They usually do free consults and can give you suggestions. You need to go to the surgeon you feel the most comfortable with. Ask to see his work and photos of before and afters. Also, see how well they know how bariatric patients respond. My current PS surgeon told me he didn't have a lot of gbs patients and he told me the results are a lot different than people who don't have as much skin. As gastric bypass patients, our skin is constantly changing. I recommend as Dr.C told me, to wait as long as you can and be as close to goal as you can. I do see that if I waited for the TT, I would've had better results if I waited longer. My skin changed afterward and became even looser. Just my own experience. I thought I would throw it out there.

Best of luck.

I had surgery with th following PS surgeons over the past 15 years
Dr Lawrence McCarthy
Dr Dennis Nigro
Dr Philip Humber

OMG!!! I can't wait until I can get everything nipped and tucked. I will try and wait as long as I can stand the skin. I am also really sick of my canadian bacon sized nipples pointing south...I am so getting those taken down to a pepperoni size....I KNOW...TMI

Hey there Buddy-

How are you? I am having a TT and Breast lift and Augmentation on Saturday I'm so excited... I am weighing 114 and my goal was 130. Kelly gave me the okay during my 6 month post-op, so Sal's been working like crazy and now I have 5 more days...

I will need a thigh lift and arm tuck but that can wait...

The cost is $10,000... for both and the insurance isn't going to pay anything... I tried.

Dr. Sarosy from La Mesa is doing the surgery.

Well pray for me... K Talk to you soon.

Tina
