Default The little things.......

I got my hair done on Monday at this really nice high end salon/spa (it was a gift). When I got there they asked me to change in to a black robe take off my shirt so I wouldn't get any product on it while I was getting my hair done.

I started to get a little scared because a few years ago when I was pre-op (weighing in at 350 plus) I was asked to do that at another salon and the robe didn't fit! I snuck out of the salon that time and never came back because I was so embarrassed.

This time even though I was worried I told myself to just give it a try.....and it fit! It was actually to big. The tag on the robe said "one size fits most"......I guess I am a most now!! lol This is such a little thing but it was a huge wow moment for me.....I am normal now for the first time in my life

I totally understand, as I have been bigger "than most" on occasion. I recently bought a pretty blouse without trying it on, because it was one size fits most. I had to take it back, because it was wayyyyy too big! There's your next WOW moment!

A wow moment for me a week ago was going to my pain management dr. and sitting down in the office chairs with the arms on them and not having the arms squeeze into my legs and hips so hard that it hurt! I could sit in the chairs and had room to spare! I always hated that stress I was under when I had to go to a public waiting room and I would always find a reason to stand, even with a bad back, because of embarrassment of not fitting in those chairs, or I was always SOOOOOO relieved when I realized the waiting room had vacant chairs with no arms on them so I could hang over.

That is a great wow moment! All of us with "thunder thighs" have been there. I have noticed that I "fit" into chairs better too.

Congrats on your wow moment!!!
