Default Beware - gross topic

Hi all -

I am posting this here because we talk about everything, right?! Well, this past week whenever I went #2, there would be a tiny bit of pink on the TP. I figured the roids were acting up and paid no mind. Well, this morning when I went #2, there was a kidney bean sized thing of blood on the tissue that looked like it could have been a clot, and there was residual blood. Then when I got up and looked in the toilet, the water had a lot more blood in it - like the water was tinged with pink. Should I be worried? Should I just keep my eye out for the next one? Does this warrant a call to my doctor?

Thanks for your advice...and for putting up with me describing my poop

Default Well I would!

Now I know a little blood can look like a lot in the potty, but I would be at my doctor's house, knocking on the door by now.

No really, I think because it is increasing, you may want to call. As someone else just told me, the call is free!

Are you in any pain?? You didn't mention that. Usually the rhoids will give you some discomfort right? Does it feel the same?

Oh - just call. I can't stand it...My butt hurts just thinking about it!

Not gross...don't worry!

I would say if you're pooping clotted blood or experiencing a lot of bleeding during "evacuating," then you should definitely see your doctor. I might even save the kidney-bean clot just in case it would help the doctor full understand the situation.

If you normally have bleeding hemarrhoids, it might not be a big deal, but anything unusual like that really should be checked out by a professional. Have you had a colo-rectal cancer screening lately? I think non-cancerous polyps can present with the symptoms you describe.

I don't mean to worry you, but get thee to a doctor! Face it, better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to medical things.

Default Call!

Call the doctor, Call the doctor, Call the doctor, Call the doctor, Call the doctor. Did you get the message? If no, Call the Doctor!! The worst they can say is "Oh it's nothing to worry about", but if you don't call you will never know and you will worry, and we will worry, and then who will be able to enjoy the sun??? Please let us know what happens, I will keep good thoughts for you!

Common things happen commonly and it sound like you either have a hemorrhoid that is bleeding or a thrombosed hemorrhoid that worked its way out. If there was pain in addition to the above it could be a fissure. Don't lose sleep, but you need someone to take a look. Not pleasant, but necessary.

If the blood is bright red and more of smears, it's likely hemorrhoids. It only takes a few drops of blood to tinge water pink. I would monitor it and let your doctor know.

I'm a bit paranoid about blood in the stool as my ex had a bleeding ulcer and needed 8 units of blood by the time it manifested severely enough for an ER trip. He had symptoms (dark, black, tarry stool and pain in the pouch whenever he ate)for 2 weeks and didn't tell anyone...men. Then there's me, I had a vein suddenly burst in my pouch and I bled out enough in a few hours to need a transfusion too. The clots I had coming outmy arse were the size of your fist and my poop was a pretty, dark burgundy color.

Thanks you guys for making me giggle about my poopy situation I will see what tomorrow holds (always the procrastinator). I have had roids, and the streaky blood on the tissue, and when I go it feels like little razor blades coming out (not I bet your butts really hurt, huh?!),but I have always just used Tucks or other wipes and I have no other pain. Thats why my eyes bugged out when I saw the little "kidney bean" (which has already beed flushed, Mussakka...I don't save what comes out of those places!), and the really pink water in the bowl. But Marie is right - it only tales a small amount to make the water turn pink.

I will call the doc tomorrow if I see red. Now y'all go tend to your sore little booties And thanks for the advice I am hoping like Dyann said that it was a roid actually coming out
