Question When Does The Honeymoon Start?

So I am about 4 weeks out and, I have lost depending on the day; about 20 pounds. I have been trying to follow my doctors nutritional guidlines as closely as possible, but I just cant get past this 20 pound mark. I am already walking 4-5 days a week,(and I mean a good walk!) probably about 1/2-1 mile. I take all of my vitamins and eat only my 3 planned meals daily. Any thoughts on this? I am getting really nervous that i'm doing something wrong! Oh and I stop drinking 1/2hr before meals and start 1/2 after, I get plenty of water in in between. ?????

This is normal! You'll lose, just relax and throw away your scale.

Default I stalled at 20 pounds too

No worries - I'm 4 weeks out too and stalled out at 20 pounds. You know - if you just think for a minute, it only makes sense. I'm taking in, maybe 500 calories a day, burning maybe 350 walking (I walk almost 3 miles) there is just no way the weight is not coming off. The scale is so random - I'm just unimpressed with it completely.

Also - I measured my waist and it is more than 3 inches smaller than it was the day of surgery. I'll take that!!

So really - a number on a scale can not define the complicated things happening in our bodies. If you tried NOT to lose weight at this point, you'd fail completely - so give it time. Just keep following the rules, the results are on their way. Your poor body is just totally confused - it'll catch on.

I lost 24 lbs the first month......then 20, then from there on has been 2-9 lbs a month. BUT, I never say "only"......I am 92 lbs down and 8 from my original goal. Slow and steady is just fine.....focus on eating healthy, using portion control, exercising, getting your proteins and liquids, and I promise you WILL succeed. You are doing awesome....relax.

Yeah, it's completely normal. We all usually drop a bunch, then stop for a short while...it's our bodies catching up. Even if the scale isn't moving, the inches are! There is NO way you can eat enough to maintain your weight or even gain right now, so try to relax and let your pouch do it's thing. You're doing fine. The depressing part is when you actually reach your goal, or near goal...and then it's "ok, now what"......

I know it is hard to do but if you can get rid of the scale, even if only for once a week weighing, you caould save yourself. Although I preach what I myself could never do.
Instead I punished myself with continual denial that this was going to work and alas, dispite my own doubts I succeeded.
The weight is really superficial to what is really happening.
A new you is being transformed and you will lose weight...I promise you, at this point you can not...I repeat...can not stop losing!!!

You surely know that weighing yourself is torture. It will come off!!!

Keep up the amazing good work and take good care of yourself!
You are lovely and brave and that combo will make a true success!!!
