Jennifer I remember when that happen to me. I was so dang scared I cried and posted about it online begging for my life. I made sure I drand lots of water and I even drank warm tea to help losen it if it was stuck in my pouch. The last time I swallowed my gum I had to be like 10 years old. I was so out of it I fell asleep with it in my mouth and having one of my food dreams I thought I was eating what I was dreaming and swallowed it. Keep an eye on any odd feelings after you have a meal.

Well, gum, i'm going to miss you! Farewell.

Ps. Soda is bad because of the carbonation too, right?
Carbonation is a no no, it can cause stretching of the pouch. But I guess some people do drink it. I guess everyone has been told or taught something different.

Great picture! Also, my nutritionist said that chewing gum can add excess air to your stomach but, it is okay to chew just try to remember to keep your mouth closed. I chew gum all of the time its cool.

Well, I was watching Pirates last night on a date and in one part something jumps out...and *BAM* I swallowed my gum. I started freaking out sooo bad. So far I haven't had any bad feelings so I hope it's okay
