No idea....
But you could call them and ask them what their guidelines are....

But still...
While you are losing and waiting for that glorious day of plastic surgery, do what you can to get yourself into the best shape possible. Like my Doctor said "If you don't have good muscle tone underneath the skin, what am I sculpting?" Makes sense to me. Losing weight is the somewhat easy part of weight loss surgery, gaining muscle tone is the hard part that we must all do to be successful in weight loss and/or appearance afterwards. Plastic surgery, like gastric bypass are not "miracle cures" they still both take a lot of hard work and dedication to achieve the best possible results. So I encourage anyone and everyone who either wants plastic surgery in the future or even if you don't if you want the best possible results from the surgery itself, get out there and exercise like you have never exercised before. Build up good muscle mass and tone your body before even considering such a proceedure. Like the Doctor told me, exercising and toning up before hand prevents "less than desireable" outocmes afterwards. Just want everyone to look and feel their best. That is why I posted this to get everyone started on the exercise band wagon, also sometimes you can do a less invasive proceedure if you start toning now. They have ways around doing large incisions in certain areas if you tone up good and "give them something to work with" as Dr. McCarthy put it.
Just my two cents..

I think I'm jumping the gun, just a bit, because I've only been scheduled for my consultation, so far, but I guess it's good to be prepared. My consultation is Tomorrow!

Too prepared!!!! It is good to know and maybe it would give you more incentive to get out and get busy with toning and trimming your body knowing that the possibility of plastic surgery after gastric bypass exists. Thankfully everyone was very upfront with me as to what to expect during the first months/years after surgery. That way when the scale didn't move for a while, I knew that it was NORMAL to have that happen or when I started grieving and mourning food that was NORMAL as well. You can never be too prepared or know too much in advance, at least that is my philosophy. Because everyone was so open and honest to me as to what to expect I wanted to do the same for everyone else. You will only get the best results from plastic surgery (through all the research I have done and by talking to Plastic Surgeons) if you have excellent muscle tone underneath your skin. If you don't have the muscle tone, your results will be disapointing or not as great as expected. So when you can, start doing as much exercise as possible and get that body toned to the max. Thats my two cents anyway.

I have relatively firm skin, but i'm starting to get pimples and sores from what flappy skin I do have on my waist, arms and back. In some ways it's a comfort, because that means I'm losing FAT and there's nothing left but muscle and skin!

And I can take a bubble bath and use the jacuzzi without floating away! Fat floats and I could never stay under the water. Half of me was always sticking out and cold!
