Congrats! Glad to hear things are moving along for you. I am currently 2 weeks out and feeling really good. My husband and I are hosting a cookout today for the Fourth. Kind of sucks I won't be able to enjoy all the great food but I'll have my friends around. (I made scalloped potatoes so I could munch on something) Anyway- so happy to hear things are going well for you!!

I think we were still on puree......so it would have been some soups, mashed potatoes, yogurt. I ate a lot of cheese back then when I could afford the calories (melted in stuff of course). Geez, I can hardly remember what else? I guess it's true that with time you forget. Congrats on your successful surgery.

Thumbs up

Hello, CONGRATS on your loss so far-sounds like you're doing great! My husband is going to be a month out tomorrow. He's been eating beans, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, & cheese but you can also have peanut butter (check sugar content), oatmeal, saltine crackers, eggs, and flaky fish. If I think of more foods...I'll let you know. HTH,

At a month out I was having just about anything other than beef and pork - I'd even tried and kept down a bite or two of salad. I was on pureed only the first 2 weeks home.

Good luck

I will be a month out tomorrow, and I am still on pureed foods. Although I dont REALLY puree anything. Most of the stuff I eat I can chew to apple sauce consistency , or is already pureed, so the Dr. said that was ok...
I eat small jar of Chicken or Beef, or Turkey baby food ( very good and has 8 gr, protein 0 sugars) and it is a 2 1/2 oz. jar.
I also have things like cottage cheese, tuna mixed with cottage cheese if it is too dry, saltine crackers, BAKED tortilla chips, SF jello, Stallones protein pudding ( banana is very good ) , whey protein shakes (vanilla and sometimes I will add 1/4 piece of banana or a little bit of peanut butter YUM ) , grits, scrambled eggs, very crunchy bacon, cheese stick, refried beans mixed with a little salsa, I have some soy nuts but I havent tried those yet.. a little affraid I wont chew them as well as I should. Trying something different each day is a goal of mine, but it is getting hard to find things that we can eat at this stage
Congrats on your WL so far ! You are doing fantastic !

2 days after I got home from the hospital I was back in the ER. I had massive explosive diahrrea from morning until night. EVERYTHING I drank came out of me within minutes! By 11 pm, I went to take my pain med. and threw it up. (so far the ONLY time I have thrown up) Hubby made me go right in to the ER. Good thing, because I was severely dehydrated.
I was on clear liquids for 2 weeks ( water, fruit 2 0, crystal light, chicken and beef broth, decaf coffee, sugar free popsicles and thats about it... ) I would not have made it through that stage if it wasnt for the broth! ! ! !
I had the LAP RNY, and 4 of the holes still have the scabs on them. A couple of them are still a little painful, but nothing that I need my pain meds for anymore. I have also been able to tollerate everything that I have consumed so far ( knock on wood) without any problems. I do add tasteless protein Whey powder to almost everything I eat ( grits, baby food, cream of wheat, etc.) just so I get that protein in. Which next to the water, is the most important for me.

All in all I think I am doing pretty good so far. I walk more and more each day but I do NOT push it , as hubby constantly pounds it into my head...... I am still healing LOL

So sorry to have rambled on and on ... didnt mean for it to be a mini novelette haha
Good luck !
