I consider my self very strong as well, and it is quite confusing to go from all that hard work, pushing and breathing, and all the excitement around you in delivery, then they put the baby on your chest and you just melt, both my hubby and I dissolved into tears. Of course, once I became a mother every emotion was just heightened, I cried at commercials, both sentimental and otherwise...Hallmark ones about shoved me over the edge emotionally, LOL. Now, my sweet boy is 17, he will be a senior in high school this year...his drivers license arrived in today's mail, and he's just waiting for his insurance coverage to kick in. Enjoy and be in every moment, people will tell you that it just goes by so fast, but suddenly your childs is 17 and you wonder where the time went! I can tell from your spirit that you are going to be wonderful parents. As a mother, you have a right for your tears, own them!

The baby's head size now is just the first of a million things you will worry and obsess about. It is a reflection of what a privilige, depth of love, and obligation children are. Congrats..and all babies on the US have heads that are out of proportion to the bodies. There is a ratio...head circumference/abdominal circumference measured at each ultrasound. That will help guide the size appropriateness in addition to the corresponding gestational age of the head when measured compared to your last period.

I think sometimes I feel like I have to be the strong one in every situation and I would hate to hold my emotions from this very important event in my life. But I already know I am going to cry because I cried when I first saw her on the ultrasound. Lynda I know I will be sitting where you are sitting watching my daughter open her license from the mail and I will think of you and wonder where the time went. Tell your son congrats on his drivers license.

Dyann it wasn't the circumference of head in general but her forehead but maybe I do have a big forhead and just don't realize it. I guess she gets it from her momma. Dyann you know what I did? I went to the coach store to see that black coach diaper bag we were talking about(why did I go) and I fell in love even more. It was bigger then what I thought and it was just as beautiful. I feel so bad because my hubby is like just get it already your driving me crazy but all I think about is this little girl in my tummy. I knew I should have just bought a big tote before I found out I was pregnant.

Just get the Coach, love. You deserve it and it will come in handy and will be useful for a VERY long time

Denise, crying at beautiful emotional moments doesn't make you any less strong. Your hubby and you are going to do great. He won't faint, he wants to meet your sweet baby in person as much as you do. It's a wonderful experience. All of it.

Denise, do you have a Coach outlet in South Bay? There is one here in North County, but I haven't been there in awhile.

Good to announce everything looked fine on this ultrasound, thank God because I had been really stressing about it. I am also pleased to announce, it's still a GIRL. After the ultrasound I am observing everything on that ultrasound and I notice her head looked a little big(Hubby side of the family) but I thought it looked to big around the forehead area and I started to kind of freak out in the lobby. So my hubby is telling me to calm down that she is fine that all babys have big heads and just to wait until we got called back to ask the doctor what he thought. So I hand the ultrasound to my doctor and point out my concern with her forehead and he goes her head is fine. So he is doing his assesment and he kind of lifts up my chin and I am thinking he is checking my thyroid and my Doctor goes that is your head. I almost hit the floor because I was thinking it but I didn't want to take the blame for my childs big head. I think I really feel in love with her more today because when the doctor was looking at the ultrasound he goes she is sucking her thumb and just the thought brought tears to my eyes because it made me realize how innocent she is in all of this and that I must do whatever I must do to protect her and keep her healthy.

Yes Sandi, I know DRINK MORE WATER...I am working on it . Sandi Thank You for being so supportive. It means a lot because it has been a ruff road but I know it is all worth it.
It's my pleasure, sweet pea, that's what I'm there for!!

Love you guys!
