Grape Juice
Ok, 8 days out now, feeling good, almost normal, which is really scary because, although I happy, I'm afraid I will do too much. I tried some 1/2 strength grape juice. I didn't get dizzy and everything, but 5 minutes after my first 'sip', well, let's just say I spent the next 15 minutes sitting in the bathroom, and then 2 hours laying on the bed 1/2 sleeping and 1/2 crying. So, should I assume that means grape juice makes me 'dump' or should I just think it upset my pouch? I'm very very afraid to try it again.

You dumped sweetie - did you have s/f grape juice or regular? If you had the regular, it is LOADED with sugar...

It was sugar free. My mom felt sooo bad, I told her I wanted something just different to drink so she made me the glass 1/2 grape juice, 1/2 water and then I got sick. I felt bad that she felt bad So if the grape juice made me dump, should I try the apple or cranberry? Those are the 3 juices on my 'list' that I'm allowed.

You can try it as long as it is s/f...and maybe dilute it even more...like 1/4 juice and the rest water. Personally, I am not a juice person, so I haven't even tried it yet - partially because I am scared, and partially because I don't miss it. Good luck - let me know how it goes...

Being "sugar free" doesn't mean sugar ALCOHOL free. This is a way "they" get around saying that their SF. I will dump much faster on the sugar alcohol than I will with real sugar. The secret is to look at the total carbs, then look at the sugar content. If they claim like 5 g of sugar, but the total carbs are 35, guess what the other 30 g are! I still cannot drink full strength juices, Crystal light, sweet tea, as they just are too strong. If 1/2 is too much, try 1/3 or 1/4. Or just have water with lime or lemon squeezed into it. I hope you recover quickly and continue the good fight.

I have been drinking Lite Apple Juice by Motts. It's made by Splenda. Only
6g of sugar per serving. I drink it without diluting it. It's not too bad, not as tart as I like my apple juice but it definitly is something different to drink. Wish they would do it in grape or cranberry.

Wow do you know how much sugar grape juice has in it? That is one of thee worse juices you could put in your bosy at this point. I can only imagine how bad you dumped. I hope you are feeling better. If you are drinking juice, best advice is to drink a real low sugar one and dilute it very well. Stay away from the grape juice though.

Like said earlier, sugar free isn't the same as NO SUGAR ADDED. Go for the NO sugar added types, harder to find...but worth it.
Fruits have natural sugars...I would only try a sip at a time..then wait a good 1/2hr. just to be sure....trial and error.

Juice
I have just given up on juice. I never drank much of it before, I was really just looking for something different to drink. My best friend, I love her , found me my FAVORITE thing today, Sugar Free Kool-Aid, Fruit Punch. I have been looking for it since before surgery, for some reason it is very hard to find here. Now I have it, I'm happy, I can make these last few days I see the dr. on Thursday and then I can have some food, which will be different, so I think that will help
