Clothes
As you all know by now, I am going to Vegas 2 weeks post op I am currently in an 18/20 and some 14/16 and so now I am guessing I will be getting rid of the 18/20 sizes within the month. I dont want to buy a lot, yet I dont want to wear all my clothes 14/16 I have had in totes waiting for me from 1987 either..lmao. KIDDING, but you know what I mean. Any suggestions on what to buy when you are in the transition of sizes?
I am curious how everyone else out there that have been going down in sizes and have old clothes tucked away are doing it. My sister said dont pack too much away because you will skip over sizes and miss getting to wear them. She said keep them out in closets where I can see them and try them on from time to time (she had open gastric). Well I have 14/16 summer clothes which I know I will be able to wear first and then go down from there. I can squeeze into some, but lets say they are very uncomfortable and TIGHT! ha. Anyway.. any suggestions ?? I think I have another tote with sizes large and a few medium must haves that I want to fit into.. you could say, goal clothes.

Everything I want to fit in that are in sizes around where I am now are in my closet. I have a bag by the sitting area in my bedroom that I discard clothes that are currently too big, and I give them away (either to friends who can use them, my support group, or the Thrift Shop my church operates). I didn;t have any 14's or 16's, so I am using the gift cards I refused to use before (because I kept gaining weight) to fill in those sizes, and when I get closer to the 12's, 10's, and 8's, I will retrieve the bins from the shed, wash 'em and wear 'em. Its just a game of rotation

Well the clothes I had tucked away were SO out of style I didn't want to put them on even if they did fit! *L* I currently am at the lowest weight that I've been at for 15 years if that gives you any indication of the clothes I had tucked away. So, for me I hit a consignment shop. I was just wearing my clothes really BIG so the clothes I just bought were really the first ones. What I couldn't get from the consignment shop I splurged on just making sure I was able to hit some of the summer sales. I wear hospital scrubs at work so I didn't need anything basic for work just running around clothes.
Your sister gave you good ideas. What clothes I did have tucked away that weren't too out of style I hung in my closet and have tried them on periodically to see if they fit.

I spent hours at the salvation army today. it was fun! I bought some stuff too small too that I know I'll fit into soon enough. I got some cute stuff. I spent $59 total and got TONS of clothes. Some still had tags on them!
