Default exercise

i've said it before and i'll say it again. some people don't agree, but i truly believe muscle toning exercises make all the difference. i had surgery in april 2003. i only walked until september 2003. in september 2003 i joined a woman's gym, similar to curves, religously have gone 3 times a week and i have built a lot of muscle that i never knew i had. people look at me and they can't believe i was ever heavy. they think i've always been thin. i truly believe that is why i don't need plastic surgery. dara, my walking partner, can attest to this. so get back to the gym, christina.

Very good question, is it Barbara?

Truth be told the reason I went back to body building was to fill in some of the loose skin. I certainly have noticed SOME improvement but sadly not enough. It's not really that bad for me, but when you go through this process you want the best. I will have to have surgery to reach my best. If I decide to go that route.

Unfortunately, genetics, skin elasticity, and age are the biggest factors to the loose skin dilemma. You believe that? We're at the mercy of our parents once again...

I refuse to dwell on the bad things. The good things and there are so many, are what I look forward to each and every day.

Melanie,

Even if it doesn't help my lose skin issues.. I know it will help a lot of my other "issues" to be working out again. I have slacked off the last month or so and I know that may be some of the cause of my depression. So I am getting back out there to the gym and not giving up on myself. I have come too far to quit now. It's all about getting into great shape and getting my endorphins flowing.. thanks for the encouragement.

It seems all you gals are on the west coast.

I found you through a search of GB forums. I've been searching for a forum for sometime with no success, until now.

I have a very large support system here in SoFlo but rarely take advantage of it. Don't ask why. I'm not so sure myself. I'm sure my deep seeded issues will come out eventually. It's nothing to interesting. The normal fat people issues we grew up with, and now dealing with as thinner people.

Anyway, thanks again for the welcome ladies.
