Default HapBird's Journey

Rather than post everything in two places, you can click here to see my original essay on why I want to have gastric bypass surgery, my pre-op thoughts, and my ongoing post-op journal.

Talking GLad you are ok

Phil,
Your essays are great. I am glad everything turned out ok in the ER. Kinda scary, huh? Blood clots are obviously dangerous and I am glad Kelly sent you for a check. Better to be safe. I love to follow you journal entries. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thumbs up Great Site

Phil...I really enjoyed your site. I think you're a talented writer. I loved your essay and journals. You have a great sense of humor and honesty. I had really wanted to keep a post-op journal, but didn't. I was in too much pain, tired, and bored (staying home for 4 weeks) that I didn't do much except sleep and complain since I can be such a big baby...lol.

Well, I just wanted you to know that I really enjoyed reading about your experiences, and I encourage you to continue. I would also encourage other pre and post ops to keep journals...they make really great personal stories.

Default Phil,

Love the new Avatar! It's a great picture of you. I can see some weight loss in your face already!

Phil,

I clicked here. Great piece. I enjoy your posts. I loved your form for keeping track of your intake. I am a form girl, and I use boxes on my forms, and when every box is checked off at work, then I have done my duty and I am free to go home.

Thanks for sharing.
