Hey Lisa girl! I was doing a little reseach and I came across this post from you in October 07.

"My challenge today is carbohydrates...they are evil!!!! When at my stage and adding back in carbs, its SO HARD to not feel hungry and irritable. Back to the basics for me.

My confession......my trigger foods - sweet and salty granola bars, corn flakes, hot oatmeal, toast......some of which are not that bad for me ..........but they make me want more food, I get hungry sooner...so out the window they go for a while!"

The temptation is always there, I think we just have better days than others. This post was actually written around halloween, and now your concerns are resurfacing again and Easter just passedd. Do you think maybe during holidays you tend to indulge and then beat yoursellf up for it? Just an abservation... but I havent looked far enough into anything you posted around Christmas!

Best wishes chick a dee, we have won the battle.... but we are still at war, with ourselves!

Bridget...you are a great researcher...thank you for looking that up. Its so true, the phases we go though, then look back at them and wonder how we got out of them, but we do.

The last few days have been a little easier as I have this stomach flu and mega cold, but still functioning.

Tomorrow I am having a social lunch with my dietician. I ran into her a few weeks ago and she is back to work after mat leave. I suggested we do lunch and she called me - so we are going tomorrow. Funny.........going for lunch with the dietician....under the microscope...not worried at all, just seems funny. Kinda like the ladies from TOPS going out for dinner after their meeting. Feels just not right, but in reality, why not?

Keeping up the fluids, 3 meals and one snack a day. Today I had:

B- Steel Cut oatmel (1/2 cup raw), splenda brown sugar
L- 1 1/2 cups of chili with extra beans
S- banana and granola bar
D - salmon, 1 baby potato, beets and carrots, 1 tbsp dill sauce for the fish
1 werthers hard candy!!

2 coffee, 2 water, 1 crystal light, 1 international coffee SF, 1 SF apple cider...still have more to get in tonight.

30ml of liquid vitamins, 1 tbsp of calcuim, magnesium, vitamin D, 1000mg of vitamin C

I went to a meeting with about 35 collegues from our region. We all work in the Recreation field. 2 day event with meals together, meetings and classes. Amazing how some people treat me now..am I imagining it, or do people treat you different as a smaller person. The fat ones were avoiding me, almost like I wasn't the person I was before and many others were tongue tied. FLABBERGASTED I WAS!

Makes me look at how I react to others now. Am I different. Maybe so. It was very obvious. The one person that did come and talk to me about how I looked asked some good questions and really think that GBP people don't eat. WRONG!

Still taking the liquid vitamins as I truly believe that I absorb them better..even "normal" people absorb them better. I use chewable when I travel, as travelling with liquids is a no-no.

Ever watch TV and wonder if you are the same size as the person you see?

I was watching the music awards on TV last night and out of the blue I asked my husband if I was the same size as Reba McIntyre? Some days I have to give my head a shake and wonder who is talking.

Anyone else wonder what their size really is????? I just don't see the outside of me!

Default Recently started wearing business suits

not only is the style different than what I normally wear... teh person starign back at me from the mirror, reflection etc... is so petite! It's very ahrd to wrap my head around that fact.

What kind of liquid vitas are you taking? I found one from Vitamin world but its so pricey.....

I'd liek something good tasting but a the nurtritionist once said , that in order to make liquid vitamins palatable, they have to take out so many nutrients that its not worth it.... so I've not pursued that avenue much but I'm sooooo tired of chewables and I dont' think I get enough if I use tablets...

The crazy carb thing has passed and I seem to be back to normal. I was wishing that I would dump and it might straighten things out, well my wish has come true. But its a crazy thing...very crazy.

I cut out some of the foods I was eating, but find now that if I don't eat every 2-3 hours (at least something) that I get nauseated, light headed and then followed by the true classic dumping signs. Hmm... this get me thinking with this anal brain of mine. Is it low blood sugars or is something else going on. So starting today, I am writing everything down again for a while and see if I can figure out why. I am not complaining...really...I am SO happy that I dump, but the dumping symptoms are not happening 1-1.5 hours after I eat, they are about 3 hours or so. Hard to put into words, but yesterday for example, I dumped 2 times. This was my day.

B- 9am - 1/2 banana, oatmeal with flax and bran, splenda...no milk, 1 baby bell cheese
Normal liquids from 10:30-11:45am

11:45am, hot sweat, lightheaded, had to lay down

12:30pm - chicken on whole wheat bread, lettuce, tomato (total 1 piece of bread, without crust and about 3oz of other food as listed)

3pm - still felt a little lightheaded so had protein drink 23g of protein and had a 1 hour nap

5pm - awake and drank 16oz of liquid, did some light housework and started to make supper

6:30pm - shrimp with veggies, craving spinich - so spinich with feta cheese, melon for dessert

8:30pm - started to feel hot, went to lay down - full blown dump, sweat for 10minutes, soaking wet, then cold, chills. Had 12 almonds and piece of cheese. Layed in bed and slept until the alarm at 6:30am the next morning.

Who knows whats going on, and people around me have never seen me dump like this before...I never have pushed it and when it does happen its few and far between and at night. I wonder if my body is asking for something or withdrawl from me wanting all other foods recently (the period ended about 3 days ago).

Regardless...its a guessing game.
