I love ya and congrats again on the size 6!!! You kick my butt!
*LOL* Sorry, my dear...I just couldn't help myself!! Yep, he found one. Aspirated about only 40ml off though. He was pretty sure that wasn't all of it. He suspects there may be some multiple ones. It took some of the swelling down but he is pretty convinced there is still fluid in there. I have an appointment again on Tuesday to be aspirated once again. He said if he still doesn't find much he will probably send me off to ultrasound to let them drain it and maybe place a small drain. Not good news but I'm glad he found it...well at least some of it yesterday. I knew it was there.

Thanks about the size 6. I'm still in shock on that one. I had to haul out the pants again yesterday and put them on just to make sure I wasn't imagining it! They are rather tight with the binder on so they are just waiting for me in my closet. In the meantime I'm plenty happy with my size 8's!

Okay, I promise...no 250+ ml for me. *L* If he starts getting those amounts out I'm going to demand a drain! We shall see. I'm ok about a drain if he thinks it is best. Personally my dear I think you should have had a drain put back in but that is JMHO!

Ok, my body works in the strangest ways...get this. Over the weekend we went to the city for figure skating. Spent 3 days in a hotel and eating out all our meals. I had for breakfast one day 1/4 bagel with cream cheese, lunch was Edo Japan with shrimp, and dinner was a steak from the keg with ceasar salad, a few bites of potato and a glass of red wine...and 3 iced venti latt'es at starbucks

The next day, I shared a denver omelette with my daughter and 1/2 piece of toast for breakfast, salmon with tomato and whole wheat pasta for lunch, and get this...prime rib with yams and root veggies for supper and I still managed 2 starbucks this day. OMG! I felt like such a pig. That night I did feel a little over full, managed a swim in the pool and then reading in bed!

Next day, more starbucks, breakfast and then headed out on the road. I was SO scared to get on the scale!

Imagine, my surprise, when I get home AT THE END OF THE DAY, and I have lost 4 pounds! Frigging crazy....!!!!!

Talk about playing with a girls head!

Lisa,

Next time I'm in the Vancouver area I'm going to let you know. I want to go to the restaurants with you and hope for the same result on my scale!!!

Glad to see that you seemed to have a great time!

Best,
Kimberly

Update on me.

Things are going well. I went to the fireman's ball on Saturday night and had a super good time. It was so funny that people didn't recognize me. I live in a small town, but I have changed so much and then to get dressed up, makeup it changes me again. The reaction I got from both men and woman was amusing. A girl at my table who is considering gastric bypass watched everything that I did and ate and I hope it didn't give her a misconception of how a gastric bypass patient eats. I had one glass of wine, a regular supper and then at midnight I had a snack from the midnight lunch. I am normally asleep by then when at home, so my body wanted food with all the dancing I was doing. LOVED the fact that I didn't sweat and get so tired out on the dance floor.

My hair is still causing me issues. Not sure if it that I am getting older and grayer or a change in my body...but its SO hard to manage. I am having my hair dyed again this afternoon to cover up this streak at the crown of my head. I promised my hairdresser that I won't color it myself and screw it up like I did this past summer with the orange hair!

I have been grocery shopping in a new store (Safeway) on a regular basis now. Its an hours drive from my house, but I find I can buy fresher, smaller portions of items and keep the variety in my diet. I have also been buying some organic foods ( the jury is still out on this one)

My incision is just fine, no more openings and the skin in the area is even starting to look healthier. The tummy tuck is not a tight as it was 4 months ago...but I believe that is a normal thing. I can still pull off a bathing suit and even a 2 piece if nobody minds my anchor incision. I feel fine in a 2 piece for the first time in my life.

I lost 4 pounds in the last week or so, and inches still coming off. For the first time in my life I have to try and keep above 150 pounds. NEVER in a million years would I have thought that. I have to be conscious of what I put in my mouth, the timing of liquids and food, but I have to say I am proud of what I have accomplished and continue to do at almost 2 years out. I have failed at every other attempt to keep off weight, exercise and live a healthier life. Some days its hard to accept that so far I have been successful and that I don't live in the life of "having to loose more weight"....Its hard to explain this one.

Life is good.

Default Good for you!

You know what you're starting to sound like? A normal person! A normal-sized person eating (more or less) normal-sized portions, doing normal things with normal results, and wearing normal-sized clothes. I imagine it feels pretty wierd to be normal, eh?
I'm pretty gosh-darned happy for you!

Isn't it amazing how far we have come in just a couple of years, podmate? I still find it hard to believe at times....like you....but it is wonderful to be able to actually live "life". It still so often feels like a dream, doesn't it?
