I haven't been on much but have been thinking of you. I was hoping the bleeding would be over by now. ((((Lisa)))) I'm still thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers.

Thanks Deb. Went to the doctor this morning for bandage change. Still doing an ER visit once a day for dressings. They want to keep it very sterile so I will heal. He hopes that the one incision will start healing better and MAY stitch me up again on Friday, if not next week. No going back to work for me on Monday as planned. He want 2-3 more weeks - which I will negotiate with him! Really minimal bleeding now...just waiting for the darm thing to heal and you can' rush it!
Thanks again everyone for all your well wishes and concern. Its what keeps me going day after day!!

Question here!
*waves arm wildly to be called on*
Let's see, you sat at death's door, you came back to us, your only priority right now is to heal, it's summer and you feel okay, and you can't work for 2-3 more weeks......
I'm trying like mad to figure out what's wrong with this? Why negotiate? Just heal and soak up the vitamin C and D from the sun! Be glad you aren't dead--hang with your daughter--invest in a hammock...

Hooray, You Are Healing!
Oh Lisa, I am so happy to hear you are healing, slowly, but healing. You are finally moving ahead, not one step forward and two steps back. You must be so elated - cautiously elated would be my guess!
You are a testament to self-advocacy and the ability to find strength from who knows where. Continued prayers for a full recovery real soon.

Been a long long ride and not sure what each day will bring..today brought....
Scale reads 149 pounds What????
Had a bleed get loose on me, so hospital visit..all is fine - just maybe did too much.
Feel like a real person today - went to get a few groceries, drug store to stock up on supplies and a visit to Subway...oh...am I living again.
34 degrees celcius here today and stickin hot. I still feel a little cold at times even in the heat, one minute I have a cold pack, the next the hot pack!
Gonna try and camp again this weekend..so hard not getting into the lake, but thats life for now - at least I am living.
I am watching quite a bit of TV these days and watching all these ads on the American Channels on lawyers, medical malpractice and such and even all the things I am going through, sure makes me so thankful that I don't have a long term, chronic illness or disease. So much easier to think in the short term and know that one day soon all will be much better. Does make me empathetic to those who struggle every day without an end in sight. Also makes me feel stupid for complaining as much as I did through these past weeks.
Another dressing change at the hospital tomorrow - Possibility of being stitched up on Friday...fingers crossed!

ummmm...Lisa dear, you haven't even come close to complaining!!! You have honestly been through hell these past weeks. No ifs, ands or buts, you hear me??? Yes, there is an end in sight but that doesn't make what you have been through any less of a scary or painful thing. So just get that thought of feeling "stupid" right out of that pretty head of yours.
Now that the "Beth" lecture is done I just want to say how relieved I am to hear that you are feeling better, that you are starting to feel more like a real person...and I'm even excited to hear that you weigh less than me.
