Lisa,

Since clothes are so costly.....can you guys get QVC there? I have had some good success with some of their clothing. I find it a roomy fit also. I can generally wear a medium there already. The Denim and Company line is pretty well made and reasonably priced most times. And oh, just wait til you get in sizes where you can shop anywhere....you are gonna go CRAZY...it is awesome. By the way, congrats on your success.......now next time remember to give it time......we all take turns reminding each other. Great job.

Default 12 weeks

It has taken all my courage to post these pictures. Mainly because of the pre-op picture. Then I think, I'm not there now and look how far I have come in 12 weeks, so here they are. I took the first one in my bathing suit as I though it would show the true me (ugghh). This is the one that I wrote about 12 weeks ago stating that I didn't know how fat I really was until I saw the pics. I am starting to see the flab of skin on my arms.

I still have a long way to go, but I can see progress now. Can you imagine...I am only 1/3 of the way to goal.....what will I see when I get there? Here goes...........

Lisa you are doing great. The tranformation taking place is amazing. I have to give you props for posting your before pic. I also took a before pic in my bathing suit and every month I have been taking pics wearing the same bathing suit I can see the difference but I am not brave enough to actually post them on the board.

It's pics like the ones you posted that give people the courage to go through with this surgery and motivate post-ops to brush themselves off and get back on track. Thank you.

Holy shnikes, woman!!! You ARE the incredibly shrinking woman - in another 12 weeks, you won't even have a tummy. Dang - you are doing so great and I am so proud of you!! Since we are so close in our "walks" and experiences, you are such an inspiration to me....

Wow, what a transformation....very nice. You will appreciate these pictures later if you keep taking them throughout the year. I took monthly photos and look back at the changes and can not believe it. My podmate Sandi and I always take a picture when we meet up and they are just priceless. I am still changing on a monthly basis. My weight shifts around and my face is filling out a bit, so I don't look so gaunt. Looking at pictures is the best way to actually see the changes.

Default the roller coaster ride

Well today is the start of week 13. Of course the scale and I are not friends....but hey thats an old story. I find that I loose 8-10lbs, then stall for 2-3weeks and then loose another 8-10lbs. Its very frustrating in this mode, but as long as it keeps coming off on a monthly basis, I am ok with it. (Remind me of this when I start crying the blues next week, when the scale doesn't move).

I went out for lunch on Saturday with my daughter. I had an egg and 2 pieces of bacon for breakfast that day, so I shouldn't have been that hungry at lunch, but I was. Silly me, I ate too fast and had to go purge myself not 10 minutes later. I learned my lesson for the day.

I am really starting to notice that my pouch can take on more food than it did a few weeks ago. When I eat, I limit myself to 3/4 cup of food and make sure that its good protein going in. I can eat all kinds of meat and seafood now without problem, so this is my staple every dinner. Grilled vegetables accompany this too. I have had very little simple carbs, if any. The size of the pouch concerns me, but I think (correct me if I am wrong) that if I keep to my measured amount, I should be ok.

I went out on a limb and bought a nectar protein powder on the weekend. Have yet to try it.

I have come to the conclusion that I can't make mini-goals for my weight loss. Its too much of a let down to not make it. My doc would like me to be at at 85-100lb loss at the 6 month mark....at this rate, I don't think I will make it. (thats another 31-46lbs by July 30th) - Ok Lisa, do the math...if I loose 10lbs a month from now on....I will be at 85lbs at 6 months!

I think I fall into the category of a slow looser. I am 1/3 of the way to goal, and exactly 100lbs more to go. I am doing all that I can do with the food, so the only other thing I can do to assist me along is exercise more...so thats what I will do.

Hey, its a new week, the sun is shining......I have burnt legs from being in the sun all day yesterday....I am healthy......and looking forward to a good week....life is good! oh the ramblings of a crazy woman!
