Woke up to an inch of snow on the ground...yes I did report a sunburn only 5 days ago. Went from plus 22 on Tuesday to hovering around 0 this morning.

So off to Grande Prairie (the city - about 3 hours drive away).

I went into the "Love Boutique", which I haven't been in for quite a while. It an adult store. I went in with my husband and walked over to this really cute teddy thing. The store clerk came over to me and wanted to let me know I was in the plus size clothing...I had to catch myself....oh, this stuff won't fit me. So thats what I said to her and my hubby repeated and said, well we better look on the other side. Grinning ear to ear I was.

Then I went into Reitmans (wow nice stuff in there today) and I was looking around and someone actually asked me where I found my blouse. OMG, they liked something I was wearing. I told them and they thanked me. OMG. My daughter, who is 9 then says - "See Mom, told you that you finally have style!". Funny.

Nice to walk in a city and have men notice you and my hubby feels pretty proud with me on his arm...he always has been proud of me...only now I feel proud too.

Its been a real emotional week for me. Lots of things swarming around in my head but nothing concrete for me to say I'm in a crappy mood. Some moments of the day are fine, others its hard to hold back tear. Hormones!

Had my pre-op chat on the phone with the hospital and admitting. After surgery, no liquids or food for 24 hours, shot in the belly 3 times a day, blow-up pants on again (I like them) and I stay in the hospital for 3-4 days. They say they keep the head of the bed up as I won't want to (or be able) to lay down flat. I have to stay on my back to sleep. Sounds just like the RNY with the exception of the NG tube, which I won't have!!!

I have to pack a small suitcase...not sure how that works as I have to pack a few things to be away a week.

Flying into Hat on the Saturday and then meeting Carrie and Samm (anyone else???) on the Sunday (I can't wait) and then having surgery on the Monday morning. Flying home on Friday.

I bought a binder to wear........not sure if I will like it or not, but I have it just in case. I make cards, so I stamped off a bunch of cards and bringing some to color (I sound like I am in grade 1) while in there. A book, lip balm, hand cream and money for Tim Hortons won't be far either.

Made the decision to go WITHOUT the belly button. Happy with my decision. Still a little scared and nervous about this....so much to do between now and next Saturday.

Lisa, I'm so EXCITED FOR YOU! I can't wait to see your pics afterwards. And YOU ARE SKINNY!!!!! LOL You have the tiniest little legs. When your panni is gone, you will feel like you were never heavy! I just have to smile when I think of you tearing up because you are realizing you are skinny.
