With the waits you guys have up there.. its a wonder you dont see MORE people waiting. I can honestly say.. I am the first person I know personally that has had it done.. I know of a million people that know someone that knows someone that had it done.
I am SOoooooooo Excited for you about getting rid of your panni! You and Milady Beth... are going to be going about the same time I bet! Spring is in the air... Everything's Changing.. becoming new again. People going in daily for their surgeries.. and now.. more and more people going in daily for their panni removals! WOOOT.. its easy to "catch the fever"... and get excited about things.
I look forward to your posts!

Sounds like you had a great Easter Lisa. Yum steak!!!!! We had the typical turkey with the fixings.
It does feel good to get outside more. So looking forward to that warm spring weather.
Your panni date will be here before you know it. You will look great in your swimsuit before you know it.
It is great to feel like you are helping someone through your journey. Although I am in the beginning stages in my journey I too have someone who has gotten on board and we can now share the joys and frustrations together. A friend in my community is on the waiting list for the doctors in Edmonton and was told that she could expect a consult date within the next year. I am so excited for her. This will improve her life so much. She in turn has gotten another lady in the community on board with us. Imagine 3 of us to support each other in our small community of 900. Quite exciting!!!!!
Lisa your journey has helped me more than you can ever imagine. I am so glad that I stumbled on your journey and you have been so willing to share.

Spent the week at home with the daughter. She has croup, so visits to the hospital every 6 hours at first, then 12 hours after that for a nebulizer. She is on the mend and fever seems to be gone now. Rough week. Her figure skating banquet was last night and its a big event for her...so I snuck her out of the house to go. She won 3 awards/plaques - some almost a big as her. She received most artistic, runner up for competition and best achievement for the skating season. Glad we went. Guess what they served for dinner....ughhh. Lasagna, spagetti, pizza and cesar salad drenched in dressing and pop. Hmmm. Well I had a few bites of lasagna, topping off one meat pizza and a little bit of crust. A few sips of flat pop. Then headed to the hospital for another treatment, came home, just made a cocoa with skim milk and the phone rings..........
Guess Who........Princess (aka Samm) phones. OMG, she is lovely. Had a really nice conversation. So nice to talk with someone close by, going to the same doctor. I am so excited for her surgery coming in a few weeks. Almost as excited as I was for my surgery. You can talk about what to expect for the surgery, what to expect post op, but until you live it, its hard to put into words....I don't want to scare anyone away from surgery, but I won't lie about it either...the first few weeks are tough. Samm is tough, she will do just fine! (Samm, if you are reading....did you try cauliflower yet?) LOL.
Weight has remained the same now for some time. I think I have figured out how to be at this weight now. Had the one bad day of grazing..identified it, and dealt with it. I was more upset with myself that the habits were coming back out, not so much what I ate, but the grazing part. I still only had 974 calories that day....but throughout the day. Identifying it, dealing with it and moving on are the key.
Had a chat with my own doctor at the hospital on Thursday. Talked about my upcoming panni (well its actually an abdomnioplasty as there is muscle tightening)....on paper its listed as a panni. I have to thank Dyann again as her pictures helped me so much. I have seen a few others pre-op and it was just skin, I was feared that I still have fat/flab under my skin, so maybe I am not ready. I showed my doctor and he assured me, that I am ready for it. He is very proud of me, and that makes me feel good. Usually you go to the doctor and its either your are sick or need tests or you discuss "how to be healthier"...you know.
The snow is almost gone......yippeee. Can't wait. The wind is blowing like crazy, drying things out...hope to see green grass soon.
New haircut coming next week.......I need a new style! No more fat face haircuts!

She is isn't she Lisa. I talked to Samm a couple of weeks ago and am very excited to meet her in person. I will be stopping by the hospital to see her when she is in for her surgery. It is nice to communicate with those who share our surgeon and will be going through similar experiences.
As much as I want my own turn to come I am very very excited for Samm and her upcoming surgery. Also very excited for you and your upcoming panni. Counting down everybody elses weeks with them also helps the time pass for me too.
Sounds like you had a draining week. Hope your daughter feels better soon.
Tell her congratulations on all her awards. Sounds like she is a fantastic little skater.
We'll be looking for that new avatar sporting that new hair do.

Awwww, You girls are just the sweetest!! It's funny how easily you can chat with someone you have never met and feel like you have known them a long time!
I had the weirdest thing happen last night, we went to a friends for supper and I felt uncomfortable whilst we were playing cards and "other activities" later and then about 1/2 hr after I fell asleep I shot bolt upright with acid reflux (forgot to take my previcid that morning) so I got that horrible "burnt everything off my throat" sensation and then something happened that never has before, I couldn't catch a breath VERY scary feeling, seemed like a few minutes before I could breathe normally again. I had to stay up most of the night and pound down gaviscon, milk etc but only got to bed at 4am. Weird! Woke up feeling really sick and with a monster headache so went back to bed until 11am and then woke up as if nothing had happened! Bizarre. Went dirtbiking with Andy & kids and then got a phonecall from my mother in the UK to say my grandad has had a funny turn, fallen over cracked his head open and broken his neck, he is undergoing surgery as I type. Please say a few prayers for him. I should hear tomorrow how he is doing. Sucks.

Got myself my first "girl" haircut to show off my face. Spent 40 minutes in the mirror trying to do it like the hairstylist...then the daughter comes in and says that she doesn't like it. Almost made me cry. Took my hair stuff to work to get the girls to help. Not how I want it..........see what tomorrow brings.
I am off in 15 minutes to my FIRST cycle fit class. OMG! I can't believe I am going to this, but the girls (my staff) are dragging me there. I have been doing the run/walk thing and I am feeling it in my knees so they suggest new runners (this weekend) and trying out the cycle fit...OMG! If you don't hear from me later today, you will know that I am passed out in my office!

I made it...still living!
Class was good. Here is the pic to prove I was there. Oh the funky hair...this was AFTER the class! The face picture is one taken yesterday BEFORE the haircut....I think when this grows out, I will be going back to that style...I feel like a mushroom head!!

Lisa,
You look terrific! As for the hair, give it a few days, I always hate when my hair is 'styled'...I like it better when I do it 'my way'...
