It is very pretty Lisa. Seven weeks vacation? Maybe a cruise or somewhere warm to show off that new healthy and thin body of yours.

Had my first piece of real pizza today - all the toppings and the crust! Oh my, was it good. Only one small piece and not the end crust. Can't do this too often, but today - oh my..........

Wasn't sure if it would make me sick............but it didn't.

Lisa, that's a pretty bracelet. So nice they did something to show appreciation for the years you've put in.

Lisa, I have to tell you...you are looking absolutely beautiful!!! I really am so proud of you and all that you have accomplished over these past almost 11 months!! We have traveled this road together and I have to tell you, I almost feel like a proud "momma" when I look at your pictures and revel in your accomplishments!!

I know how hard it is not to center in on what we see as our "flaws". I do the same thing. For me, its the thighs and it frustrates me because I know insurance won't cover a lower body lift and I'm afraid the finances just won't be there. But then I look at where I was and where I am now and even despite the "flaws" you know what? I think that I just might be "beautiful". It's slow to come. The head doesn't change as fast as the body but even though your head may not realize it yet, let me tell you girl you honestly are BEAUTIFUL inside AND out!

Lisa,

What a beautiful bracelet. Wow, you and Carrie are doing great in Canada. She got an awesome bonus from work, too if I recall.

Congrats on 15 years. I am sure they are thankful for you.

We didn't even get a howdy doodie from work for Christmas...nada, nada, zilch and I work at a huge company...billions of dollars. It was pretty sad, but I had to look at the brighter side of things and just be thankful that I do have a job here in CA. Things are rough all over.

Default Pizza

mmmmmm...I must admit it is one of the first crazy foods I tried. I can eat 1/2 of a slice but that does me in. Worth it though. It is the only white flour I eat so it is quite a treat/indescretion. I do it maybe twice a month and enjoy every second.

And I agree with everyone else, you are looking so great. I remember your first avatar so well - your face is so different - always beautiful, but very different.

Default 11 months out today!

Well today is 11 months out and I weighed in on my home scale, and I have lost more weight, but won't do the official weigh in for 2 more days as I always use the same scale at work.

Christmas was nice, although the day and a half of travelling each way, did its toll on me. Never before have I complained about my butt being sore, but with less padding on there now, its an issue. My sweet husband bought me a massaging, heating seat cushion about 1/2 way through the trip - it is SO wonderful...keeps me warm and massages upper back, lower back and the thigh area. Definately a must for our cold weather and my skinny butt.

My sister in law was SO surprised to see me and made quite an issue about it, as did my mother in law who said "You are FINALLY beautiful!" My hubby said, she has always been beautiful mom, but she just screwed up her face! My one brother in law said, ok, you have lost enough now...no more and 2 other brother in laws never mentioned it, nor did the sister in law..(remember they are the ones so focused on weight) so considering this, I think I did well.

My daughter and husband bought me PJ's from La Senza and they FIT!

Food.......this was an issue. I brought a bag of stuff to supplement and this helped, but my available choices at meal times were rough. I did the best I could, but I didn't want to offend anyone. I had pancakes (2 small) one morning, just plain, nothing on and had to go lay down for 2 hours after that. I ate a lazy cabbage roll casserole one day, 1 piece of KFC chicken another (then had a kashi bar to go with it and a christmas orange). Thank goodness for Christmas where I ate turkey, little potato, and veggies. And then one day of the same with leftovers. They eat a honkin breakfast, of which I can't eat most of, no lunch and then supper at about 7:30pm. I had to learn to snack and graze through the day, just to make it through. And to make matters worse, I didn't do the #2 thing from the time I left home until 6 days later and that was after some senokot and milk of magnesia. The water on the farm was less than drinkable, so I couldn't drink their coffee - I boiled bottled water in the microwave to mix my cocoa mix.

The cookies, cakes, desserts never bothered me. What I did snack on were oranges, nuts and lays chips (bad, bad) but that habit is kicked now. It is so hard to eat at fast food there...yuck....subway one day saved me outside of that I mixed protein powder into my water bottle.

Went ice fishing while there, all together we took home 8 fish - they deep fried them in beer batter and also made deep fried shrimp and chips to go along with this. I tasted the fish and shrimp, then ate a protein bar after that (sitting in the bathroom - not to hurt anyone's feelings) None of it made me sick and it tasted good, just not good choice for my supper.

Ate a box of thinsations ( 8 per box) during the week.....kept me sane!

Just home last night, did grocery shopping this morning and on my way to better eating habits.

The scale at home says 3 more pounds down, but I will see on Tuesday. I can say that my pants are fitting loose, although the skin seems to getting looser. If thats the truth, it will be 8 pounds for the month. 6 more to go to hit goal...and my one year anniversary.

I called about a Panni as I stated in an earlier post....but I am a little chicken about it and have decided to wait another 6 months to level out my weight and see if its what I really want. I don't want to rush into it.

I have a few hundred dollars of clothes picked out in the Sears catologue and will spend some of our christmas money on that. Hubby and I discussed it, and he thinks I should but some bra's, pants, undies and shirts - that I deserve it!

Until later....

AND.......I forgot the best part.....My mother in law, laying in her bed (very sick) asked me how I was feeling after they cut me open. I said great, did you want to see my scar. She did. So I lifted my shirt and showed her the scar from my breastbone to my bellybutton....she got this funny look on her face and said they sure didn't take away enough! I started to laugh...after talking with her, I found out that she thought they CUT OUT 125 pounds of my body...she didn't like the fact that they left the flabby skin! If it wasn't for her laying in a hospital bed on death bed, I would have laughed my head off. I explained what I did with surgery and she said I was finally beautiful and that my face matches my beautiful sweater.

Could you imagine.....cutting off 125lbs! NOT!
