Default Week 32

Wednesday was 7 months out....6 pounds this past month. Not what I would totally like, but a few things may have thrown me off. First I went on a one week cruise to Alaska...and most people gain weight, I lost 1 pound! May not seem like much, but considering my eating schedule and exercise schedule were basically thrown out the window...I did pretty good. There were so many choices on the boat that fit into my eating habits...and the variety. Only one day did I feel like I ate too much. I kept to my 1 cup and made good protein choices. One area that I didn't do well with was my fluids. I had a bottle of water with me all the time but never seemed to get in my required amount. Back on track now.

Saw my family and told them my surgery news. They took it well and were surprised at my changes. I didn't even get in the door and my aunt was saying that she didn't recognize me!

My Mom has lost weight since her heart attack in June, and gave me 2 bags of clothes that fit me! Some items a little big, some tight and some just right. Bought a few new blouses for work in a size 18. The pants I tried on at Penningtons in a X were too big! Wow! Generally in a large or XL pant in a normal store.

One funny story: I indulged and had foot reflexology on the boat. Willem was the man who worked on my feet. First time I ever had this done. He knew nothing of my history. When he got to the pressure point on my foot for the stomach and intestine, he said do you have problems with your stomach? I laughed and told him I had surgery on my stomach 6 months ago. He also detected the back pain. So if you don't want someone to know your medical history...dont' have reflexology.......but hey - it was absolutely wonderful and I would have it done again in a heartbeat.

I have some pics of our trip and will post some in the next few days.

Thanks Lisa.......not so good at the avatars. For some odd reason my digital camera puts them online in like psoter size! Noone seems to be able to get them small enough to post. I'll be taking my year anniversary pics in just a day and a half....and I will find some way to get them on here!

Marty, send them to me and I will resize them for you. I have a program that will do it. I can post them for you. My email is bhdcrazy@aol.com Just shoot me a PM when you send them so I will check that email. I'd really love to see a new pic of you.

Lisa, I'm happy you are back safe and sound from your trip and had a good time. Nice to see you posting again. We missed you!

Hey Trina....thanks much. I do have new pics, and I'll send your curious mind one......but if it's much work to post it then wait a few days. I am planning to take 1 year pics tomorrow! I can send those then. The ones I am sending today were self taken with no planning......and I just don't love them.

I sent it....along with some paste in case you do decide to redo a room! I don't mind if you post them, but just didn't want you to work hard twice! lol Any idea why my camera would be putting them on my pc in that form? I'm finally normal and my own camera still thinks I'm BIG!

Wow Lisa, you are doing so great. You are such an inspiration to me. When I first joined the board in February you and a few others were my GB role models. Keep up the good work, I love to hear about your progress.
