Hello!
Hi, my name is Kenitra but I go by Kennie. I thought that this was a general website for people who have had or are having or are thinking about having Gastric Bypass Surgery. I think that all of you live in the same area?
Well, I live in Virginia and my surgery date is 2-6-06. If you all do not want me to come to the site, then I can understand, but I thought wow, a site where everyone is like me or going through what I go through!!! It is late, so I will feel you all in more about myself and how I came to needing this surgery!

First off Welcome to the Family Kennie. Not everyone here is from the same area. A lot of people here are from all over the place. I do believe there are a couple of members from VA. Congrats on your re-birthdate. Two months away, how excited are you? I hope you find all the support and advice you seek here, everyone is very supportive here. I look forward to your post.

Wow!!! First of all let me congratulate you on such a success!!!!! That is absolutely amazing!!! Second, thank you for welcoming me to the site. I have been looking for a site, with people who are just like me. I go to obesityhelp.com, and I love it there, but I just wanted to find some place else, different to go and read other's success stories and hopefully they will inspire me to go on with mine.
I am 29 years old and I currently weigh 308 pounds, I managed to get down to 308 because of a heart valve problem that I have and all the meds that they tried me on made me sick, so I just did not have much of an appetite. One time, I lost like 14lbs in 2 weeks due to the medication making sick...lol!!!! But I have been stuck where I am for the past, geesh, two years after the birth of my twins and hubby working in Iraq, food became my companion!!!!! That is when I decided last year that I would look into having the surgery!!! I would schedule seminars and then chicken out, but something in me this year told me this is the time, it is time and even though I am scared still, I am at peace with the decision to have this surgery!!!!
I will have a whole lot of questions to ask of everyone, but please bare with me!!!! Once again, thanks for the welcome!!
Kennie

I live in Chesapeake, VA. I lived in Virginia Beach for 8 years, then Norfolk, then Portsmouth, and now where I am currently!!! I did not expect to get a date so soon because I went for the seminar on November 21. I had my Computer test and Pysch EValuation on the 14th of December and then on the 22nd my paperwork was submitted and my ins approved me the same day!!!!!!!! And then I got my date of 2-6-06, it went really fast the time frame you know.
Thanks for the welcome and I look foward to getting to know you!!!!!
Hugs,
Kennie
