Alrighty something funky is going on. *TMI WARNING FEMALE ISSUES* Can't say I didn't warn you. I got home from working out tonight and felt as if I had started my period, again. I thought "since my period was so short perhaps it wasn't a full cycle and it's back" but it has been nearly 2 weeks so I nixed that thought. I am right at ovulation and when I got to the bathroom there was just moucos and a tinge of blood......like the first time I ovulate after having a baby and breast feeding. Could I have not been ovulating and still have been having regular periods? Before I KNEW I was ovulating while breast feeding my periods were hugely irregular. This is weird.
I tracked my calories today.....1075, 93.5g protein, 33.15g fat. I worked out and between the treadmill and eliptical burned 300 calories plus I did weights for 40 more minutes. Anyone have any suggestions on if I am doing/eating too much/too little?
I have decided to add more fruits and vegis to my menu. I abslutely LOVE blueberries and I am pretty bummed that DH didn't find any at Cost-Co tonight although he did come home with 3 flats of strawberries, fruit cups, apples and banana's. The kids and I had corn, peas and beans for dinner (they had some chicken too) and some strawberries for desert.
I am pooped, ready for bed BUT American Idol is on....can't pass up a chance at seeing peopel make jack asses of themselvs LOL

Girl, be sure you are using birth control! You may not have been ovulating before.

Wow!!!!
That is a lot of working out. I would fall over. I admire your strength. I think I wouldn't make it past the first mile of walking...I am panting just thinking about it.

I have set a goal for myself, nothing high at all about 1.5 lbs every 10 days. I think it's doable even though the scale is moving very slowly. I know, I know, plateau or perhaps just my body taking inventory. I know that it has to be temporary being as I am getting less calories than I take in....enough so that I should be able to lose 1.5 lbs every 10 days.
My trainer friend and I have been playing phone tag for the last 2+ weeks. I finally realised tonight that no matter how much I do on my own if I am not doing it correctly or getting the right muscle groups targeted I am not going to get the resluts I want. I have been sponging information about physical training but I need someone who knows their stuff, he doesn't just have a personal trainer certificate he has a degree. I need this help. I need this to work. The exercise, the "tool", my life. And I enjoy it so much why stop now.
There is a really neat site that has a bunch of foods for under 100 calories Here's the link:
http://www.shs.unc.edu/library/articles/100snacks.html
I also got some links to find your total energy expenditure. Both have pretty good info and explanations but they give different estimates? Here are the links:
http://www.fit-unit.com/articles/index.php?itemid=6
http://www.thedietdiary.com/diet/nut...ingEnergy.html
Thought I would share, no need to be greedy with the info LOL!

I am frustrated. I kind of feel jipped, I am not having any of the effects fo this surgery that cause the great amount of weight loss. No adversion to smells, tastes or textures of food, rarely get a feeling of being full, I do get hungry, I can eat sugar and some fats to a greater extent that I am comfortable with. Now someoen will say )or think) stop whining eventually everyone gets to the point that they have to "work" their tool.....I had about a month! Not 6, 9 or a year of feeling no hunger and having my calories restricted to a miniscule level and one month isn't nearly enough to overcome years of over eating and habits that lend to obesity. I can't believe the amounts of food I hear people surviving on. And they are still functioning. I get light headed just picking up at toy at 1100 calories a day! Perhaps having been anorexic (and for fear of becoming that way again) I feel that just because I can go without food doesn't mean I should. But the truth be told, I am tempted. I know I shouldn't compare and it's less of that and more of a pattern I have noticed, but those who are sick and struggling to get foods in are ultimately coming out the other end with better results. It's 6 of one and a 1/2 dozen of the other, but today my glass feels half empty. I am working my ass off and not seeing the results of others who are on their behinds from lack of energy. Not one person had better come and tell me I am not entitled to this rant. I had the same surgery with the same expectations and I am at my wits end as to why my body is responding differently than expected.
I am going to work out again tonight, all cardio I think. My 5 year old is begging for a night off of karate....how sad is that? I guess I shouldn't force my need to go work out on him, right? I go to the gym and send him to karate next door. Perhaps DH will hang out and me and Kaden will go together so Logan can have a night off LOL
I am going to sneek in a 20 min nap before my girls get up. Thanks for reading my rant....

Britt you are doing such a great job! DON'T FORGET THAT! I can eat sweet stuff too. I can eat just about anything. I wish I would dump more too then maybe I would have more restrictions. You are working so hard and just keep that smile on your face. Use the tool you were given (big or small) and do your best! I know you will continue to do great. You workout more than most if us and you have a big family to care for too. I know it is hard but just keep your head up and PM me if you want to vent on the phone! I understand!

Holly, YOU ARE MY HERO!!!! You just made me feel so much better. Thank you so much for your confidence in me. It's nice to know someone is rooting for me........not that I don't beleive my family is but what I do (eating and work out wise) has already become routine to them so it isn't noticed anymore. I guess I am just dying to get below 195. That and the last time I worked out this hard I lost about 20lbs in a month and 1/2........and I was eatig way more. Now I can't lose even one, it just seems ironic. I have to get your #
I did the eliptical machine today for 35 minutes. Not entirely too long but I wasn't dying and counting the minutes so YAY me! I stayed in my taget heart rate for 30 minutes and I also walked for about 15 minutes prior and stretched after......stretching hurts more and more? Kinda weird, any suggestions or thoughts people. I have always been really flexible and I still am but I am definitely feeling tightness in my hamstrings that I can't get to go away.
I packed my food for tomorrow, the big whale watching trio with my son's class I am so scared about getting sea sick...Dramamine here I come! I am glad my Dad will be there too.......just not looking forward to having 6 boys inmy truck adn Kaden riding with his Papa. Sounds like torture to me. I willbring movies so maybe they'll leave me be *wink*. This excursion is with a company that an ex is employed by.....what are the chances of me seeing him? With my luck I will get him as a captian and be sick the entire time LOL
I am feeling better bit the darn scale had better start moving or I QUIT!!!!!!!!!

Brittany
OK girl STOP beating yourself up. You will start to lose again. You are not a failure. You are burning alot of calories with all the working out that you are doing. Maybe you should eat a little more if you can. Have 5-6 meals a day. When you do get to talk to your trainer he should be able to help you with the food also. Keep your head held high you're doing great!
