Terri,

You have done such a fantastic job and sound like you are doing exactly what you need to be doing. It will catch up, I know you know to not be a "scale watcher"- it is kind of like a watched pot- never boiling. I am so happy to hear that your journey is one of success and progressing as it should. You lost quite a chunck prior to surgery and it has only been a week or so since- It will straighten out, I promise.
Best wishes..

Terri, it's great to hear that you're doing so well post op. The weight will come off. If it bothers you that much, just stay away from the scale. Who knows, next week at this time you might hop on and be down 10 pounds. It goes like that sometimes. I lost a lot in the first two months, but it came off in peaks and valleys.

Patience, my dear.

Terri,
I think dogs and horses are great physical therapy, don't you?
They make you want to get out of bed and be with them!
Now if only I could convince my Siamese cat that everything is okay-he has been out of sorts since I arrived home smelling like the hospital, LOL!

My dogs are both heelers, and pretty high energy. They don't believe in days off!

Here's how to make your cat happy: Blenderize some tuna and cottage cheese -- it was my first foray into soft foods and I'd heard of other people who had done it. During my totally liquid phase, I thought it sounded OK.

Taste it, and if you are like me, you won't take another bite. Yuck!

Feed what is left to your kitty. Mine thought it was mana from heaven!

Funny you should mention this! I opened my tuna to make tuna salad a couple days ago and couldn't get past that it looked like my kitty's dinner from a couple nights ago! I thought I was never gonna be able to eat it!!

Okay, so like I am SO glad I got to stumble upon this post today...I'm going to take a leap of faith from these dang CLEAR liquids to puree something, and the only thing I could think of was tuna--especially if it would help eliminate this horrible protein smell I can't seem to shake. And, I was GONNA try the cottage cheese/tuna puree.

As always, you've managed to pull me off one of those blind ledges, girlfriend!
As soon as I work up the courage--and don't have to be on a con call for a stretch of 30 minutes--I'm going to take the plunge and try a variation of a pureed deviled egg. Thank you from potentially saving me from a huge disappointment to my tastebuds!!

/hugs! --Beth

I used to have an Australian Cattledog, which I think are one in the same. I know exactly what you mean about energy. When she was a puppy we had to take turns walking her. Then I finally taught her how to catch a frisbee and we'd take her to the park just to wear her out. Alas, she passed away last year. I still miss that dog. She was the best.
