If you're interested, there is a local triathalon in the Gorge every year the Aluminum Man - many use it to train going into the Ironman. I'm not sure if they have a website...but I'm sure there probably is one out there. I believe much of it is based in the Hood River area. It's been awhile since I followed anything on it.

Howdy Kymel. Thanks for the note about the Aluminum Man. I will have to check that out. Afterall, shouldn't I become an aluminum man before becoming an ironman??? Just makes sense, I think.

Whoo hoo Mike! I have to say it has been fantastic being your friend through some of these events

I really enjoy the time we spend on our Outdoor Adventure team. I do plan on doing the Mount Saint Helens climb this next year! The Portland Marathon was fantastic, I had so much fun! As I just am celebrating my year mark, I know how you feel. I still have a bit to go but I know I will get there! I love you and Jenn! You guys keep me going on days when I feel I can't go on anymore.

Just know I will always be there for you! Oh, I signed up to do Portland to Coast next year too. Maybe we can find something near Raineer?
