Default Life has been Fat-tastic

And now its time for life to get thintastic/slimsensional. I guess it all starts with a work injury that resulted in a torn ACL. Workers comp took for ever to authorize an MRI. Injury-August 28, 2008 and MRI December 4, 2008. 3 months plus with a torn ACL and it was hell. Before the MRI I had to survive rehab that made me swallow my pride and pretend that I wasn't in pain. My knee would just give out on me repeatedly and the injury would regress. After a few more months workers comp finally authorized a total knee replacement but I would run into a brick wall when it was discovered that I had an abnormality in my heart.

I am now using my insurance to have the lapband surgery and all the clearance from all the doctors to have the lapband surgery. I will lose all the weight possible before my knee replacement.

Its now June 30, 2009 (almost a year from my work realted accident) and I have to go to a clinic and spend the night for a sleep study. I have an appointment with the cardialogist July 20th and then if cleared, I am ready for Dr. Callery to give me an operation date.

I too have sleep apnea ... the sleep study is a piece of cake

I am hoping with the more weight I lose I can ditch the C-pap

I already ditched the High Bloodpressure meds.

I wish you all the best of luck on your knee surgery and with beginning your new journey

Thx. Congrats on ditching the HB preasure meds. I am so looking forward to improving my health.

I hated the sleep study, I was awaken just about every hour by the night staff re-attaching the wires after I guess I must of disconnected in my sleep. Especially the one on my finger and the wire hooked inside my nose. I wanted to pull the girl on my bed and give her a peace my mind. LOL

Had the follow-up to my sleep study today. I have severe sleep apnea. 56 % oxygen intake. That is an "F" grade. sucks!!! Owell I gotta do what I gotta do. Its mask time. I hope its a kinky mask. Just kidding. They go up your nose. And shove oxygen into your breathing tube and it helps y0u sleep better. Heck after sex I always sleep good. Now if I could only have sex every night. J/K. I stopped breathing at least once a minute and gasped for air 50 plus time throughout the night. Now I get to go back to the clinic and sleep with this kinky mask and see if it helps me breathe while I sleep. If all goes good I get to take the mask home. Then its Cardialogist time. Last hurdle to the surgery date.

Great to get bvack on Thinner Times. Well I finally have clearance from cardialogist. cpap machine has made a world of difference in my sleep. Still not used to the machine but I sure do have alot more energy. I don't sleep as much in the evenings.
