Linda my little peapod... I think there has to be a happy medium. Moderation. A place we can reach where we can still be warm, kind, giving, even a little self-sacrificing, without going into Lesser Porkchop Overdrive. I don't want to become selfish, but I want to find that place where I can be giving to everyone, including myself. And where I can recognize when a person around me is so much of a reciever it becomes toxic. Thank God for the good friends I do have... thank God for them...

Like we talked about on Thursday, you have been researching this for four years. You are more then educated on how this works then most people and you KNOW it will work. You are having totally normal feelings. I know you don't like change, but think of it this way....the really important things aren't going to change. Your husband is still going to love you, care for you and treat you like a princess. Your children are going to love you the same way they do now. You are still going to struggle with the thoughts that you have to be perfect. The only thing is you will have more energy!!

Oh Robin, my sweet Robin! I am SURE everyone who has had this surgery has had 2nd thoughts about their decision. I know you.....you will not fail. You want this so badly. Your are such an inspiration and support to so many people, both here and in your home life that during your sluggish and/or plateau times, your support group will lift you up and off you go flying again! I understand your thought that "eveyone knows I am doing this, so what if I fail" ...however, you are not capable of failing. You want this too damn much and even you say that the harder the task the more you push to perfection. It will work for you honey. Chris is there, good or bad, fat or skinny, as are Preston and Parker and Jill and Carol and Bridget and Linda and daddy and.....so why worry. You are finally taking care of YOU. Enjoy it, embrase it, and you will come back, ready and raring to support all those who you've helped along their way! I am SOOOOOOOOO excited for you. You are just days away now! Love you lots and lots!
Linda

Robin...thank you so much for sharing. You really make me look into myself for answers to my eating disorder. I know you will do very well with your surgery and I only wish I was closer to meet you in person. Best of luck and glad to be here to share your journey with you.
