You Are Loved!
Robin,
You're just a wonderful, stupendous person! We are one big family here. Even though the details may be different, we all share a common bond. Believe me when I say, YOU ARE LOVED--not just by your family and children, but also by US...your extended WLS family.
What a bittersweet life story you have! Thank God for your gifts...your father, your wonderful husband and your children. I love the old saying, "What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger." It's so true. We are all survivors of one sort or another and sometimes weight has been our lifesaver.
Gosh, Robin, when I meet you in person for the first time, I'm probably gonna hug you for a couple of hours. I feel so fortunate to know you.
Just make sure that when you get skinny and even MORE gorgeous again, you won't become Miss Snobby Pants and forget you even know us!!! ha ha
Much love to you, sweetie. You're definitely loved! (I'll stop ramblin' now)

Robin,
I don't think I can say it any better than Dara did but I truly believe that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Every one of us has a similar tale, it might not have been our mother, but someone in our lives led us to believe that we were people of questionable worth, that we don't deserve the best in life and therefore we developed habits that are extremely hard to break. I for one still have issues with love and being loved and don't really think that anyone could possible love me. I've spent the last year working on loving myself and hopefully soon I will be a far more confident woman. Your story has inspired me to work harder on my own issues. Thank you. I must say that everything you have written has been wonderfully stated and inspiring.

Robin, as the other ladies have said, we all kinda come from the same place, just different circumstances. It is so horrible that becasue we are FAT life seems so much harder for us.
But remember, if you hadn't been fat, if you hadn't had the horrific family circumstances you did as a young child, if your daddy hadn't saved you.....you would be just ordinary. The average Joe. You are special because of what life has made you! You can pass on your wisdom of life to others...in fact, you did! With your story!
I always feel so bad for the young girls I see who are way overwieght. I know their difficult road ahead.
Thank you for your story, thankyou for your posts and all your support and HUMOR we have come to know.

Robin,
Love ya, great job sharing your story. I identify with you so much. But I was abused by my dad and my brother and grandfather and the neighbor boys. We have so much in common. My mom is my super hero. And so are you.
Thanks for being real and sharing your stuff.

I think you know already, that I am a firm believer, that nothing happens by accident. I know for me, that if I hadn't been where I was yesterday, I wouldn't be where I am today. All things work together for the good. I was a young beauty in my teenage years, but I wouldn't even look at a boy if he didn't have perfect everything. I never saw the beauty of my husband until he took off his glasses.
I cannot wait until you are on the other side with us. The long wait you have had to endure has strengthened you so much, I don't know if you even know that. Your strength has shown through in your posts. From that first few posting until now, you have been able to shine through, and we all see who Robin really is. "They don't see what we see."
Hugs to you honey, and sweet success is just around the corner, and always remember, you are not a failure until you quit!
