Jenn it was great reading your story, and I could see myself in some of it. I ditto your feelings about this forum, it is so Kool to have such a great support system, I too live on the East coast and feel just as welcomed as if I was in San Diego, which by the way I lived both in San D, Oceanside, Victorville and Barstow California (former Marine and was married to one).
Jen much CONGRATULATIONS on your successful WLS. Continue on the road to "lightness".
I feel so much better this 5th week than in any of the previous weeks, and it's true what everyone on the forum was saying, it really does get better. This week wore 2 outfits to work out of my closet I haven't been able to get into over the last couple of years, both were 14W, I'm on top of the world!!!
I know I said previously on this forum that I couldn't or wouldn't want to go through the surgery if I had it to do over again, but as I sit here today and seeing the change my body is going through, feeling so much lighter, getting to were I can eat "normal" again it feels good.

Hello, Dee. I am glad you are starting to feel normal again. I felt horrible my first few weeks and never thought I would get back to that normal state. Well now here I am, I'm too normal, and I have to watch what I eat
I wish you lots of success on your journey

Hi Jenn, thanks for the email, I'm afraid I may have spoken too soon. All this week I have not kept foods down, just eating bites is too much. It's disheartning at times like this. I have been able to drink all fluids, but for now giving up on the eating thing. Hopefully this will pass, but I am tired of having to upchuck, this can't be good on the body!
Other than that I'm doing fine, but think that this not being able to eat a little is having a negative effect on my moods (then again I could be going into that time of month :-))
I hope to be able to report better and more consistent news later.

I'm doing okay, really busy with school and work I am getting myself back on track though and started losing again. I had gotten back up to 194 for a bit, but now I'm back at 189-190. I'm sure it had to do with the monthy friend. But anyway, I've been going to LA Fitness to lift weights and do different types of cardio. It's going pretty well. Some days I'll swim laps and some days I'll play raquetball or basketball. Makes me forget that I'm working out sometimes. Luckily after March 24th is over I will be a less busy woman. YAY! That means more working out and getting to my goal. I'm hoping to get to 150 or even 160 by graduation in June. So that's 29 pounds I need to work my ass off for.
Oh yea, my doc says my B-12 levels are really low which could explain why I'm always tired. Hopefully once I start getting the injections I will be more lively.

I totally hear ya. I was so fed up with the yo-yo'ing my whole life and needed to do something. It didn't take care of all my issues, but definetly put me back in the healthy direction and into my old clothes If you think you are ready and are educated enough then definetly get it done young rather than waiting until you become diabetic or even worse.
