TO ALL THAT READ THIS, ANd have posted your encouragement. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. I am doing terrific. I have lost a total of 30 pounds exactly as of today. This is a struggle sometimes. I will not lie. I have to struggle to actually eat as much as they say I am supposed to. I am getting the water in and am no longer having any issues with my bowels. I am however emotional on days. I seem to get a little teary when I think of my old life( the one before my rebirth of surgery) not only that but when I see all of your encouraging posts.
I am very surprised that already I am seeing a difference in the pain level. I have had 2 back surgeries and have spinal fusions in 4 vertebres, also have my ankle which was put back together 3 years ago with plates pins and screws, and so far I am almost pain free, and this is only with 30 pounds off, i cant imagine once I loose even more.
You all are my encouragement and my support. I read the posts and the journals of all of you and I just get even more encouraged.
I have began to work out, I am going the the gym 4 times per week, I am walking the treadmill 2 miles, riding the bike for 3 miles and then using hand weights to work the arms to get them toned.
All in all Life is terrific. SO go out take charge and make yourself healthy.

Dawnelle! I'm SO happy to hear of the reduction in pain you've reached with the wonderful loss of 30 lbs.! Imagine how your pain is going to go down bit by bit with every single pound you get rid of forever!!! Talk about an inspiration to others who are investigating surgery due to their chronic pain conditions that are always exacerbated by obesity!

You better keep posting on this particular issue girl! Because it is a HUGE inspiration and can inspire hope in SO MANY people who are struggling with chronic pain.

I had my surgery primarily to get rid of the spinal pain I've had for years. It didn't cure the pain unfortunately. BUT being 135 lbs. for over six years now has kept me out of a wheelchair!

You made me smile, and also remember just where I would be if I had not had this surgery. It made my life completely different than it would be if I hadn't had weight loss surgery. It will do the same for you too...and I can't WAIT to hear the news as more weight comes off.

You are motivated girl, and that's what will ultimately dictate your success. You have the tool and you've got a helluva motivation: to have a pain free (or reduced pain) life forever! I'm so glad you are a member here on TT.

FINALLY in first time in the last 8 years I am under 245.... WOOOO HOOOOO
Gotta get to the gym more consistantly. It appears I am loosing at about 3 pounds per week, hopefully this is normal and a good amount. I dont know I have to ask my doc on tuesday. I feel so much better however, I love life again and know that it will only get better. Pain is almost gone in my lower back, still have some int he rest of the body but all in all it appears to be getting alot better. Cant wait to be able to actually buy clothes off the normal rack.... and to be healthy again to be able not to get winded whne I climb to the lighthouse at Makapu'u. Oh that will be an exciting day. Well just a little update.
