Hey…I just got my approval on my surgery today, I am soooooooo excited. BUT….the only thing is I need to lose 15lbs before they will set a date for my surgery. I am so ready to stop messing around, and get this done…..at first I was scared, and rethinking the GBP, but then I thought to myself if I don’t do this I will be over weight forever, and might die young just like my mother did at 35 years old…..I want so much in life; like be healthy, have kids, live long, enjoy the little things that I can’t by being this big….I need, and I will lose this weight, next time yall hear from me I will have that date for surgery…Thanks for reading my TT friends…..

YAY, so happy you got approval. I remember you were struggling with your decision. You can totally do 15 pounds. The liquid diet helps, or you could just start substiting breakfast, and lunch if you can, with protein shakes. And start walking. I'm positive you can do it and get a date!

Hey girl well sounds like we are running neck and neck. I am waiting to hear back about my approval(prayerfully) But I have to lose about 15lbs as well. I am definately working on it. I'm down 2lbs since my last visit. What insurance do you have and how long did you wait for your approval from the time they sent in your paperwork?

I waited for my approval that never came for 3 years. My insurance company kept denying me telling me that I wasn't sick enough. I was in the process of doing the 12 months of psych evaluations and weigh loss programs. My brother and father both died of diabetes/high-blood pressure. Here I was approaching mid-30's and almost 400 pounds. With the grace of God, and help from my family I gave up on the insurance companies and was able to pay cash for the surgery. I'm in debt to my family and 160 pounds gone my family now refers to me as "The Investment".....lol.

Well,I just found out that Im going to have to come up with 40% of $1300.00 and I cant.(Insurance copay) Anyone out there take anything else postop? My surgery date has been changed to The 4th Nov@ 10:30am. Im in shock.Ive come too far and worked too hard to have it all fall apart now

That sucks, i dont know what would happen if they tell me that....i dont have the $ like that either....good luck in finding a way!!!!
