Default Not losing weight...but INCHES!! :)

So I've been back at school (Providence College) for about a month and a half now, and have been getting depressed because I really haven't lost anything since August when I was down 55 pounds. I know people go through stalls...but it was just frustrating.

I kept thinking maybe I was doing something wrong. I mean, the meals at school aren't spectacular. I do most of the cooking/eating in my room where I can really monitor it. Plus, my schedule is so out of whack when I'm here....such as late night study sessions, eating dinner after 9 (and before midnight if i'm lucky), etc. Not the healthiest ideas I know, but I am working with the proteins and vegetables, and drinking lots of water, and staying away from SUGAR and soda! But everyone has their bad days here and there....BLAH! Nonetheless, I started working with a trainer on campus. Its actually a student (who is younger than me) so its more like a buddy system. I'm not sure if its working out yet, but atleast she's teaching me the right way to use the machines, and helping me target troubled parts on the body.

I read in another forum that sometimes if you're not losing weight, you may be losing in other wayselsewhere. So I decided to take my measurements to see if I had lost any inches. Here goes the results:

Before surgery:
Chest 47inches
Waist 47 inches
Hip 49.5 inches
Thigh 38 inches
Calf 16.75 inches
Arm 17.5 inches

After surgery (as of 10/13):
Chest 43.75 inches
Waist 40 inches
Hip 45.5 inches
Thigh 25 inches
Calf 14.5 inches
Arm 15 inches

YAY!!!! So I guess I can live with those losses!! Particularly in the THIGH, omg that is a crazy amount for 5ish months. This past weekend I was home to visit the family and went "shopping" through my closet for clothes that haven't fit me in a long time. I was happy to say that my inches allowed me to fight into size 14 pants and Large shirts (as opposed to size 18 pants and XL-XXL shirts)! Guess its time to get rid of some of the things I'm still wearing around campus...lol.

Anyways, that is my update for now. Keeeeep up the good work amigos!

I think keeping measurements is an awesome idea, and congrats on the inches lost! If you are working on muscle groups now, I bet you will see the inches change even if the scale doesnt!
