I just read you story today, I too was in the clean your plate club and was skinny through the first 2 years of highschool then started to put on the weight. Before wls I was at 366 pounds.

What your mother did was complete out of line, you did the right thing to leave.

WOW your insurance company approved you in one day that is great.
I wish you the best, and get ready you will not believe how quickly the weight will come off. I am 3 1/2 month post op and have lost 90 lbs.
I hope you have the same success as I have had. Just remember do and eat excactly like the dr. says...
