Question Defecation Questions To The Forum's Medical Members! - Explicit Graphic Content

Defecation questions to the Forum’s Medical members!

In Imperial China, the analysis of bowel movement was a vital science to monitor the health of the emperor…

So, could you members of the medical world please point me to a source of contemporary information?

What is the meaning of dark brown vs light beige stools? Droplets vs turds? Long pasty ones vs heavy “dry” ones? Tight ones vs compressed ones? Floaters vs sinkers! Length & breadth? Stool weight/size in relation to food intake? Frequency?

My dogs, who eat the same quantity of dry food day in and day out, produce virtually identical stools each time. As soon as I give them other ingredients (cooked or raw vegetables, fruit, meat) their stools vary.

Not that I’m an empress! Surely our motions must have a meaning?!

Thanks you guys!

Cheers,
Vim

Well, not the meaning to life.....

Yep, your poop tells a story of your health an what you have eaten....try eating beets cooked fresh from raw state.....voila! Purple poop.

White and chalky...calcium issues, medication side effects, eating rocks
Black and tarry indicates upper GI bleed
Bright red streaks....lower GI bleed or hemorrhoids
Soft, ropey, long, and light brown to dark brown...good
Soft, formed stool that separates...no as good as ropey and within normal
Dark and greenish...iron not getting processed
Hard pebbles, on way to constipation....medications side effect, lack of fiber, lack of water
Watery with specks....diarrhea, danger of electrolyte imbalances
Fatty streaks...orlistat or fat problems
Lots of green and smelly....gallbladder problems
Garlic...well, guess what you ate last night......
Rotten eggs....digestive enzymes or lack of good bacteria....eatin beans or eggs....
Loose and mushy....too much roughage, undigested veggies, beans.....

Lots can be said about poop

So while we are on the subject of poop here goes. As some of you know I was in the hospital this past weekend. I had a kidney infection and on heavy antibiotics. They also thought that I may of had a bowel obstruction or gall bladder problems. I had two CT scans and they all looked good. Since last Sat. I have been pooping 4 plus times a day and it is like water but it has like a gravel looking soot on the bottom of the toilet. It is green and slimey looking, sorry for that much info. I chalked it up to the meds and I still have 3 days left. My concern is after reading the above that maybe it is gall bladder. Any suggestions.

Well, I can't help you with this "shitty" post (hehehehe) but I wanted to say that when my dog was a pup, she used to eat her poop!
