I couldn't wait to have it. Alas, it seems no matter how much I chew or how slow I eat, my pouch just didn't like it. I was so upset because I was so looking forward to it. Oh well, at least my husband loved it.
Sometimes what doesn't stay down one night will stay down the next. I tried a Weight Watchers mac & cheese dinner and that didn't stay down at all the first night (I ate about 4 bites I think). Then, I tried a bit more for lunch the next day and it stayed down. The same thing has happened with a mac & hamburg casserole. I know I don't get enough food, protein and fluids in me during a day, but I just can't seem to do it. I get so discouraged sometimes. Makes me not even want to eat anymore, but I have to. Eating is no longer fun, it's like a job that I have to do but don't like doing.

Oh my god, Im going to say it again, ask 20 people a question, and your gonna get 25 different answers.
Heres my input, and this is based on what MY surgwon laid out in my food plan. (this surgeons group has done over 12,000 GP surgeries).
First, noodles are a no no until at leat 12-16 weeks, it is very hard to get down as it clumps, much like bread. I know someone one= this board that is over 6 years out, and today she told me she still cant eat noodles or bread.
Second, Chicken is a no no until at least 6 months, and they prefer you wait until a year!!,There research has proven that chicken is very hard to digest for GP patients, (again, over 12,000 surgeries!!).
Third, did you say fried? That is a no no until....well...as far as my nut says is NEVER!!! Yep they say remove fried food forever if you can, and if you go 3,4,5, or more months, then how difficult would it be to eliminate it all together? For me its a no brainier, haven't needed it, wont eat it!!
Again, I'm sure someone will come on here and argue the above guidelines that I have been told to adhere to, but I can only speak for myself, and I have in the last 3 months only threw up twice, and both times was from plugging the ole hole!! (dam unchewed cherries!!).
