Good to see you back Deborah. Sounds like you had a great visit. My scale was not nice to me this week. No weight loss. Guess I am in a stall again.(sigh) Hope you did better than I have.

My pastor / Bishop gave me a "blessing" of $ on the last day which was so sweet cause i really needed it for the gas. I was bad and went to that open air mall, where they sell the BESTEST purse knock offs! i bought 2 Coaches for 35 each. LOVE THEM! since i cant afford the real deal (one day i will) and the 6year old and 3 year old rode in the car like ANGELS thank God for dvd players and spongebob and Cailu and Max and Ruby etc... they were so peaceful and we even stopped overnight in Los Angeles last night to visit my husband's son and his wife and we stayed the night with thier "older" brother. that was great seeing them and i cant wait to get on that scale you know whats funny i didnt even miss the thing!

today i started the 5dpt i dont know what happened over the last week but my carb cravings are out of control! i just want to lick the salt off of everything! So i am hoping i can do the entire 5 days last time i really only did like 3 1/2 days but good results but i want to completely knock the craving out of my system.

I'm so tired of hitting the darn stalls. Not sure why and i keep "changing things up" ie eating more calories and more excersize and its NOT working. I read an article that Toony posted a while back from a Terry Simpson,MD on plateaus and stalls and the only thing i can think of is maybe i'm eating too many carbs in a day. I do love to nibble on cheese its or goldfish. I love string cheese too but sometimes lately i really need that salty cracker. So i'm wondering / pondering doing the 5DPT even though i'm 4 1/2 months out i find myself meandering towards those good ol' crackers and thinking thats got to be why i'm stalling so frequently. I think i'll just do soups and liquids for a day or 2 maybe not the entire 5dpt but gotta get my head away from crackers. hmmmmm i wont know the results because i'm still in scale withdrawls!
And like an idiot at the PCP office the scale was a manual one and it was NOT the number i had on my scale so thats got me thinking i gained 4 pounds. And my husbands daughter in law sticks in my mind she only lost 60 pounds with her GBS so thats got me wondering if i'm thru. But in the good part i'm up to 2.9 mph on the treadmill for 26 minutes yippeeee
move scale move.....

aw Queen your sweet! thank you its people like YOU that encourage me to keep at it and dont give up.
And BTW i didnt loose ONE LOUSY POUND on the 5dpt this time nuts! i go for my 9month follow up with only 67 pounds lost since surgery gee big fat whoopie doo and stopped my maddness with the carb monster and nothing. This is exactly what i was afraid of when i did this surgery failure. My surgeon cant call me a success yet because i havent lost at least 60% of my excess weight. I'M NOT EVEN AT 50% yet! i'm still wondering if the constant BM's are making me slower than everyone. who knows

I think (hoping) that its the probiotics making all the difference. God please just give me ONE week where i loose 5 pounds Just one lousy week
My parents are snow birds here in AZ and Maine and i havent seen my dad since May (i think i lost 25 pounds since then and he made the comment he hopes i'm 150 by October 20th when he comes back. Originally i said ya i can do that no prob well now i think thats a stretch

Yep Deborah, something is just not right! And then again, something may not be wrong... Regarding your weight and "accidents" that is...
I went to my doctor about my then 8 year old son and told him the not right/not wrong bit. He sent me home telling me I was an over reacting mother hen! Well, dammit, I knew instinctively that something was amiss. I would be darned if I were brushed off so lightly! I wasn't sure what I was looking for, but I just knew I had to find whatever it was. And, lo and behold, a few months later, I heard something on the radio and then I knew - like a bolt of lightening! My whole world fell into place, treatment was assessed and therapy had started: my son was "diagnosed" with dyslexia! Once we knew what the problem was, it was so easy and straightforward to set the track straight, improvements were immediate and drastic.
All this babbling on? Morale of the story: don't give up, keep looking, listen out and sooner (I hope) or later, you WILL find your answer!
Chin up girl. Don't worry about what you have not lost - 25 pounds is far better than nothing at all under the circumstances of your current situation - again, you know you are working out in the gym!
And, by the way, I love your red outfit! Stunning and you wear it so well! Glam Girl!
Chin up Deborah - I know the battle is hard and unrelenting. But you are better off than this time last year!
Cheers,
Vim
