I'm not sure if you have a Sam's Club or Costco, but I go shopping there for things like Fresh, grapes, oranges, raspberries, blueberries, nectarines, apples, ect.. and it's cheaper and I buy it by the case. Or if you have a place that is a fruit and veggie mart, that just sells that it's normally cheaper. Stock up on the good stuff, and you will be surprised how much cheaper your grocery bill is. I can't afford to shop all the aisles so I just shop outside the aisles so everything I need is right there. It will be a drastic change, if you don't buy junk and your kids are hungry they will eat the better stuff because that's all you have in the house. I know it's hard, granted I don't have kids, but I can imagine. The key is to preplan.
Good luck with it, just have the mind set: I no longer want junk in my house, only good food. Having a healthy family is what will be important to you.

absoulutly. Unfortunatly they make the junkie foods much cheaper than the healthy stuff. i spent like 50$ on salad stuff and fruit when really a box of honey buns is only 1$ but i agree i want a healthy family so its worth the price. Yes i belong to Sams club thanks for the reminder i think i'll go there next week with my EBT and stock up on that fruit stuff and some nuts or something

and just wanted to say that SOMEHOW my appetite has finally slowed down. Thank God i forgot yesterday to almost eat anything and today i tried to eat some fage w/ cereal and only could force down 3 bites and just ate some watermelon now and will probably eat my salad in a 1/2 hour. Its like all of a sudden i get the full sensation finally! dont know why it took 7 1/2 months to feel full and kim i took your advice and got 2 big bag of grapes and a watermelon and some "multigrain baked" chips but they were healthier than the plain greesy ones and maybe they will even refuse to eat those

AHA! The full feeling is the key. The lightbulb sensation I call it
It's a good good good thing, so you keep that low intake down and you'll see the REAL hunger popping up. I hope this is a corner you're turning, you're due one right?

well i had to blog for a moment thank God the scale moved finally! i lost 2 pounds i think its cause i hardly ate this week well actually i really didnt eat any bad carbs thats more the reality probably! and i tried to drink 90oz of fluid each day some day i had over 100! haa but i guess i'm glad i just wish my sizes would go down. i'm telling you i'm patiently waiting until i'm standing in my skirt and it drops to my ankles. i cant wait i'm praying and hoping to drive to Stockton on Wed evening for our annual holy convocation there. it'll be a challenge due to my bowel incontinence problems i face but if i can travel at night chances are better for me. we shall see
OMG and how could i forget to write about my daughter and mine's time at the river! wow it was the best time we've ever had together we both wished it was the longer trip but we took the 2 hour float down the salt river. we laughed we tipped over we ate on the water. we just enjoyed nature together we even saw (we think )wild horses in the river drinking and playing in the water. Wow it was just great we're going again next month and this time we're taking the 5 hour trip down

well i'm back i didnt loose my "bowels" on the 12 hour drive not once! i came really close and had to pull off the the side of the rode with my TP in hand, but the urge passed once i saw i would have to show the world my butt! and made it to the next rest stop. We had church! whewy good ol' fashioned Holy Ghost shouting good time church! i loved it. I go every year but this year i just felt more blessed than usual. My pastor / Bishop gave me a "blessing" of $ on the last day which was so sweet cause i really needed it for the gas. I was bad and went to that open air mall, where they sell the BESTEST purse knock offs! i bought 2 Coaches for 35 each. LOVE THEM! since i cant afford the real deal (one day i will) and the 6year old and 3 year old rode in the car like ANGELS thank God for dvd players and spongebob and Cailu and Max and Ruby etc... they were so peaceful and we even stopped overnight in Los Angeles last night to visit my husband's son and his wife and we stayed the night with thier "older" brother. that was great seeing them and i cant wait to get on that scale you know whats funny i didnt even miss the thing!
