I wouldn't go by what one person says. Early out people need support. They need to get and give it, so if you want to post and help everyone on every post then I say do it. Don't let one person get you down.

Well, Deb, most of the people on this board love you, so don't pay attention to slams like that. Honestly, you are such a sweetie. Don't people have better things to do with their time than slam a sweet person like you? I love your posts. Just ignore them.

I think she just meant it as something for you to consider, to make sure you're spending enough time helping yourself instead of helping others. As MO we tend to become people pleasers and always doing for everyone else and this is your time to be selfish and make sure that your needs are being met 100% and taking all the time you need to do that. We all love you Deb, and I am glad you're here.

i think thats right on and from now on i will be focusing on ME and doing whatever that means working on myself.
on another note my husband keeps saying he misses his family, i told him he has to get in church like i am and we have to seek my Bishop's counseling which he happily agreed to, but i'm still not convinced so for now he'll keep his butt at his apartment and my butt here in my house. Its not me that misses him but the kids are acting out real bad and want him home.

Post-op Plateau
I munch on dill pickle spears (kosher, for the garlic). They are salty and crunchy and have 0 calories! Better than crackers or chips. (my weakness).
Did anyone tell you to stay off the scale - except for once a week?
Also, read the postings on watermelon. Once or twice a week, about 6 oz will help take the water off. Boosting protein also helps. Re-read your "pouch rules for dummies" about water-loading and staying full-feeling.
Lots of advice. Now, let's see if I can do it.
I'm flying from Chicago to Baton Rouge, LA in two weeks. I hope I don't spend the flight in the toilet! We plan a side-trip to New Orleans. How do you visit those places without eating? I hear it's 112 degrees there right now.
Stay in there. You risked your life for this surgery, so don't give up now.

yeah i do all that stuff already except not the watermelon, it doesnt work for me taking weight off only gives me gas and then diarreah. boosting protein does NOT help for me either but i am now doing the water loading and it seems to do the full longer effect

Hey Deb, As far as the grazing on even healthy foods, my doc strictly forbids it. 3 square meals a day and that is it. Oh he did say if I must have one snack to have a piece of string cheese, again if I must. But do remember I am on the boot camps of of all gastric bypass diets. I do chew a lot of gum throughout the day. I mean ALOT!!!! For me I have that urge to constantly chew which the gum helps tremendously. I like cinnamon gum especially. Remember just to be careful not to swallow it!!!!!!

Hey darlin....
Don't pay attention to the negativity. This is a SUPPORT group so please don't stop supporting others. The ones that matter love you on this board and would be very sad if you became a lurker. You're just going to have to learn to ignore the non-supportive comments, as I have.
Oh, and please don't take that man back. He can be a father to your kids without being a horrible husband to you. You deserve better and think about it....would you EVER be able to trust him? You deserve someone who respects you and treats you like a queen, so please don't settle.
You stayin off that scale? lol (I'm not )

He says he misses his family but does he miss you? Is he willing to stop talking to other women? Yea your kids miss him, but they will adjust. You have to do what makes you happy! I'm not saying don't try to make it work but will you ever trust him again? For me if there's no trust then there really can't be a relationship. I hope that whatever YOU do decide to do it's because YOU want it and not what everyone else wants. Also don't let this ruin your plans on being an RN.

he claims he misses me, but i doubt it because he still has communication on that website i know eventually the kids will adjust but our 5 year old boy is really having a hard time i feel so bad for my baby he loves his daddy with everything. O he claims he will cut off all communication with the women but again NOPE i dont trust him at all
