First off kiddo .... you have to quit eating with your mind.................and let you body tell you when to eat...

when I scan my book in I will send it to you and anyone else who wants it... we can have lots of foods... just not high carb stuff... and they have planty of choices in there ... but crackers are so not in there ...... I think you and danita are probably suppose to eat the same so next time you go to the store... read the labels... and I just dont go in the cracker snack isle... I only look for things on my list......and I am not allowed any fruits or stuff till 6 months out... so dont worry about alot of that ... its alot of chicken and fish .... eggs(which make me sick that a no go for me). But it also helps you decide the best condiments... I mean they have sugar free relish and all that... just read your labels..... they have sugar free jelly .... My kids even eat this so its not bad... I do have to search in the grocery for the things I want.... but its so worth it to me.... I am the same way... I have no touched a treadmill or anything I havent excercised once... I am starting soon .. but as of today .... all I have done is walk alittle.....

NOW the diet is not easy .. you cant eat the things you used AT ALL>.. but it has really worked for me ... and for Cassie.... its a bootcamp diet... you have to focus .. and get our mind off food....

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE TO EAT ANYMORE>> NOW YOU EAT TO LIVE ...

I wish I could taken the mental strain away from ya'll I really do ... because thats all it is .. is your mind telling you to eat... when you really dont need to.. and its telling you to eat things you shouldnt ...

Try this diet for a week .... and I promise you will see a change.. I will scan it tomorrow.. and email it out ....

I have just told my self to do this ... for 6 months.... and then I can slowly add things back.... I just want to loose this weight so bad.. but I know someday I have to return to the normal world.... hopefully when I do I will be really good at controlly my calories and portions......

Amanda - Thanks for the support and for going through the trouble of scanning a book for all of us. I hope it's not a lot of pages! I can't wait to see it.

Obviously, the hardest thing for me to do is to get out of my old eating habits. I don't even realize that they're bad. My habits are so normal and comfy to me, that I seriously don't know how to eat any other way.
Thanks again everyone...

Deb ~ I've finally figured out what it is that I don't like about the Syntrax Nectars...it's the smell and taste of the protein...YUCK! I don't now how you do it girl!! I have to hold my nose before I take a swig. I guess Isopure is next on my list of protein drinks to try. UGH this is miserable.

M, I totally feel what you are saying about your old eating habits being comfy, but girl that is what got us to 250 and 300 lbs to begin with. Of course they are not normal. Preop my doc, nut, psych drilled into my head this whole new way of life I would have to follow for the rest of my life. I am a little concerned if maybe your medical staff lacked in this field or what. If have questions or need guidance make them be there for you to get answers. They are the trained professionals. On my last docs visit (9 months post op) my doc told me something that I think about everyday. He told me " The tool I have given you has been successful for you, now what you continue to do with that tool is up to you. You WILL be on a diet for the rest of your life. Your continued success will be determined by what you do with that diet". I go by this everyday. I WILL NOT go back to that fat girl weighing 252 pounds from a year ago. M, I hope you are able to get your head in the right place and make this tool work for you. There are many days I don't want to eat, there are some when I want to eat everything in sight, but now I don't. And I won't. Start off tomorrow with a positive attitude. Set a goal each day and reach it. Don't feel sorry for yourself about what you can't eat etc... Your mindset plays alot in the outcome you will achieve.

Thanks Amanda...you're a doll. I hope I don't have that same reaction to it that you did...lol..and please let me know what I owe you for all the stuff you're about to send!

Cassie ~
I totally hear what you're saying and I'm taking it in. I think it would be easier for me to "let go" of my old eating habits, if someone were to show me that I CAN eat healthy and LIKE it...yanno? Since I hate fruits and veggies, I need someone to teach me how to get creative and how to cook healthy foods with flavor. I think if I knew how to make veggies that actually tasted good...I'd eat them! Fruit...that's another story. I don't like the way fruit feels in my mouth. I ate a banana today but the only way I was able to get it down was with a little bit of peanut butter. But when I added the banana into fitday.com, I was shocked that there were 51 carbs and 200 calories in one banana!!! That's ridiculous! So I won't be doing a banana anytime soon. Geez!

M, I eat alot of green veggies. Steamed, grilled, microwaved however. Squirt them with some Parkay spray butter and they are good to go. We do a lot of the Rottiserie chickens from walmart at my house. Hell all you have to do is heat them up. They are great for chicken salad as well. Surf the web you can find all kinds of websites with gastric bypass friendly recipes, not to mention son fab ones on here. Girl you can do it I just know you can.
