Well, it started out that I wasn't tired and the Red Sox game was on.. so I stayed up for that.. it ended around 1.. hubby was coughing a lot and there was no way I would've fallen asleep so I just stayed up and watched some shows I had on DVR, hoping I'd sleep. No such luck.

So, again with being up 22+ hours without sleep and I have shit to do today. Sunday is my 1st anniversary so I HAVE to go to town and get a card- "town" means a 30 minute drive both to & from and I'm so frackin' tired. *sigh*

WHAT is going on? Do you always have trouble sleeping? Did the 5dpt screw you up somehow? I'm sorry to hear you aren't sleeping. That totally screws me up when that happens. Hang in there...

No, I've had chronic insomnia for close to a decade now

Some weeks are worse than others. Dogs barking across the street half the night all summer were the worst.

I am so sorry to hear that. I have gone through bouts of it, typically tied to my menstrual cycle and hormones getting wiggy, and it is debilitating. I can't imagine how you have survived/suffered for years. Have you done research about it and dealt with adjusting serotinin and stuff like that?

I know what it feels like to have insomnia. I've had it for 3 months now (don't know how you've done it for 10years). It's killing me I'm tired, cranky, and so emotional at times. My all stems from the sponge removal, so I have to see a counslor for it. Have you gotten meds for it? My doc gave me a pill that I take at night that is a sleep aid with a mild antidepressant. Sometimes it works sometime it doesn't.
Making you can take a nap sometime today.

I followed Lyndas "recipe" from another post...and it is sooo good! I also like to add some cheddar cheese popcorn powder...sweet, crunchy, AND cheesy...what isn't there to like about that?!?

Default Happy anniversary to meeeee!!!

Well, and my hubby too

We drove over to Burlington- we missed the Giant Pumpkin Regatta on the bay sadly... the pumpkins were huge!

Hubby wrote a nice letter to me, and included our wedding vows. (1st anniversary is "paper") And while we were out, we stopped at borders and bought each other a book- he got a book about walking trails in VT and I got a book of knitting little handbags with one skein of yarn.

Had a gorgeous drive to & from, over the mountain

Food was good- yummy, lunch was 1/2 a sandwich with the wrap removed. Dinner- 1 slice of pizza. Yeah, not great but 1 slice was totally filling and I'm okay with that for now- tomorrow I might whine tho

Happy anniversary. When we had our first -- I told hubby I wanted money. It's paper. (Technically it's mostly cotton, but he doesn't know that... and if he had, I would've just said a check would be fine.) I made him his card. On paper. :P

I'd love to have pizza. Hubby got delivery the other night. And it was my second favorite topping choices. You know, for all the money he said we'd save on me eating... I guess he's just spending it all on crap for himself to eat.

Default Back home..

So I was in mass to get my mammo, bone scan and eye exam.

The good news is.. they said if they saw anything whatsoever on my mammo they would call that night by 7pm to come back for new imagines (it is the new digital mammos) and they didn't call so I'm happy about that! The bone scan was my first so there isn't anything to compare it to but I'm glad it was done.

The eye exam was good.. he said that I'm seeing 20/20 with my glasses and I don't need to get new ones- woot! save me some $$ there.. But even better is that two years ago (prior to surgery) they saw the beginnings on damage to my eyes from my blood sugars and blood pressure and that damage has all been reversed- so more good stuff from my surgery! Very happy about that! My dad is now blind from diabetes and I'm happy to know that I shouldn't have to deal with that issue now.

The other stuff- Saturday I drove to MA and met up with my daughter at her work- she works at a claires store and I also met her boyfriend for the first time! She pierced my ears for me for an early 50th birthday present.. and when she was done I said to her "so, where's my stickers for being a brave girl" and she says "no stickers, sorry"... and I said (jokingly) well, that's bullshit! lol... She was out of work at 6:30 so we went to have dinner, the three of us... I had chili at chili's. Mine is better, btw.

That night when we went to bed, I found a package of halloween stickers under my pillow. We assumed they were for my daughter but then as we were laying there, she gets a text message from her hunny and he says "did your mommy get the present I left under her pillow??"... awww.. so i texted him a 'aww.. thanks sweetie" and he replies: "now you can 'gloomerize' your claires bag. Gnight u 2 who act as 1.. give miche a hug from me".. OMG.. this kid is adorable! He was totally freaked out at how Michelle and I look and act alike, but in a good way (I think??) lol..

Sunday- she had to work and I met up with Charlie to go shopping.. she is as funny in RL as she is here on the forum and I'm thrilled she is my friend. I feel really bad that I did not do better with planning the get together with others but in the end, the weather was such crap that day.

That night the kids and I went out for supper and just hung out.. the kids feel asleep watching one of the harry potter movies, while I sat there knitting going.. what's wrong with this picture- the two 20 y/o's are sitting there on the couch snoring away while the 50 y/o is up watching harry potter??

Monday was my tests day but Michelle took that and tuesday off so we had lots of time together.. she was genuinely enjoying my company which was nice. Tuesday we hung out a bit and ran some errands for my hubby while I was there.. he had a grocery list- go to this store and get this, that store and get that... he misses the stores/products that were available to him when he visited me in MA all the time, LOL.

I got home tuesday night, later than I wanted and I've been sick since I got home. But it was a good trip, except when I drove past my son's previous exit before he moved to Buffalo, I got teary.. he's not there and I was sad I miss him and am soo worried about him. But the trip itself was good- productive and fun. Was able to put the whole job thing aside for a few days.

Oh and get this.. the job that I didn't get? They've already called me and asked me to sub for a few days. Like... are you *kidding me*? grrr
