I once thought the same thing, but now I am not so sure. Hard to walk in about 4 layers of clothes. But then again no one likes a sweathog either.

Off to the fair in Fryeburg, Maine! Hoping for less rain than we had yesterday!

I have some snacks packed, some drinks packed and Hunny tells me that this fair has lots of good food choices available, compared to the other fairs we've gone to and I need not worry about being faced with only carni food. Hope so!

I packed some knitting to bring along for the long ride!

I hope everyone can behave themselves while I'm away- don't wanna miss all the fun ~~~

I don't have any cow pictures from yesterday.. but I do have cow pictures from a recent drive! Below is the Belted Galloway calf we saw at a nearby farm. He was sooo cute! Sadly, the one of him facing us came out completely blurry.

Will Sheep pictures do? I have some really cute Tunis sheep at Fryeburg and some Oxen pictures from the Lancaster (NH) or Haverill (VT) fairs..

I'll have to get them from hubby's camera later.. but here is the cute calf from Saturday

The fair was excellent! The best one this season.. we'll definitely be going back. I'm glad we went yesterday, I hear its a zoo on the last weekend...

I um... was not very good eating wise this weekend, though. Lets just say, I've deserve every one of the 8 lbs I've put back on this ass. Weekends for me are horrible, food wise.

Awwww...it is so cute! Thank you for sharing. If you find any of the others, send them along. We lived in Cumberland, Maine so were always involved with the Cumberland Fair but passed through Fryeburg on our way to North Conway/Jackson, NH often and felt connected to the Fryeburg Fair because same vendors and always the week after ours. Have you ever been to the Common Ground Fair? Thats a great one-very crunchy granola type but healthier interesting food choices rather than all carni crap and really good quality crafts.

We especially miss this season in New England, with the fairs and the fall colors and apple picking and pumpkins and hayrides and freezing cold evenings. I couldnt figure out how you could go to fairs and stick to your diets. Sounds like maybe you didn"t!. Good luck w your 5DPT. Hopefully, it will get you back on track. And just remember, STEP AWAY FROM THE FRIED DOUGH...!
