Good luck to you. The weight will come off. Seems to me you have a pretty good insight into your eating behavior.

I'm posting these two pictures to show "Jessica/cantw8" me in one of the blouses she so kindly sent to me. I had a very positive reaction to my outfit yesterday. I can't thank her enough for giving me some pretty clothes to wear through the last few weeks.. I also can't wait to be able to send them on to the next recipient!
One lady yells across the production floor.. Kelly.. you're showing off your curves!.. lol.. Yes, I do have them and finally curves where they belong! LOL
As much as I gritch about them sometimes being overly forward with their touchy-feely ways, I'm really going to miss those ladies.

food issues
Well.. as I mentioned in Simone's pouch test thread.... I'm really finding it difficult to be motivated to eat. I stand in the kitchen looking around, trying to figure out what I want to eat that I CAN eat.. and I come up empty. It all is so dull and boring or it's all just revolting.
I had an egg, scrambled with a bit of corned beef for BF this morning and that tasted okay.. I had made a whole egg and about 1/3 cup of the beef.. but I didn't even eat half...
I'm ordering some SF vanilla CIB so I can use it as a base for smoothies. I wish I could buy that stuff in a canister instead of a pouch, though.. would make it more versatile. I've also taken to adding vanilla protein powder to my iced coffees... at least once a day.. 20 grams of protein right there.. but.. it really does change the taste a lot, and not for the better
I was toying with the idea of using the 5dpt, but I think I'm going to wait for now.. it isn't really carbs I'm craving so I think it's not really what I need. I'm just not really sure what it is I DO want/need.

I quit
tired of having to be so vigilent in my food and drink choices.. with no rewards.. not only have I not lost weight in the last two weeks..I've GAINED 1.5 lbs this week.. and believe you me, I have NOT over eaten at all. So.. I quit. For today anyway. I will eat whatever the hell I feel like eating and will drink whatever the hell I feel like drinking.. screw it.

Good for you Kel!
Sometimes it is important to be unrestrained in one's eating my surgeon told me. Go down the "wrong" way, "relive" a little of the "old you" and possibly "suffer the consequences". But what is extraordinary, is that, we have been learning how to be careful and once we have "indulged" and seen that the yummies are not THAT fabulous, then we are more than happy to get back to the "safety" of our WLS eating plan. However, and the word is however, once in a while is absolutely fine (even recommended he said), BUT, keep an eye on how you are behaving! Are those doritos, that bowl of ice-cream, those chocolate bars, those pretzels, really worth it? Those cravings and the consequences? Not particularly. But we need to experience it, live through it and SEE for ourselves that eating the "wrong" foods is actually not that great a deal... If you are even going there, INDULGE, make the most of it, chose something really yummy, scrummy and enjoy every morsel of takes your fancy, but eat it with awareness and pleasure = you'll soon only ever need a tiny morsel of it.
Best wishes! and don't worry!
Cheers,
Vim

I didn't dump, but...
Be careful with your indulgence. I have not had the surgery, and no date yet, but I decided to take a day of indulgence. I broke down and ate a hamburger at Jack in the Box, and fried cheese sthicks. I had not had deep fried food or hamberger since about April of this year and I was so sick. I had very painful stomach cramps and the trots, that all resolved the next day when I returned to healthier food. In retrospect, it wasn't worth it.
Indulge if you need to, but try not to make yourself too sick. I'll say a prayer for you.

thanks
thanks for the support and the warnings, you two..
In the end, I pretty much stuck to the things I know are good for me.. I was just so discouraged this AM when I saw that gain. It's just so hard to remain motivated sometimes.. there's been so much stress in my life right now.. it's all just so frustrating.
