My Friends,
Here is a variation on my above theme/thread. Suffice to write that from 5th April to 23rd May, Life remains at least unchanged and definitely for the better.
I feel the need to share my continued HAPPINESS, COMFORT AND JOY, feelings of deep love and still holding a valid sense of reality! The world does have its sham and drudgery, but it is up to us individually to pull ourselves out of or above our pits... And this rekindled thread to prove that the going is still good!
No need for replay – fast forward from now on…
Been there, done that. For half a century in fact.
Been sexually molested as a child…
Lost my father on my 12th birthday…
Been raped as a teenager…
Had an interesting and diversified lifestyle, torn between formal, conservative, bohemian, artistic, diplomatic and independent….
Married my dream prince
Begot three wonderful children
Am loving my 3 beautiful dogs (and one cat, two goldfish)
Sorted my issues with an overly dominant mother
Carved a career and hobbies’ niche
In this last year alone I have lost my mother, dealt with her estate,
Turned 50
Decided on weight loss surgery, had it done, am 5 ½ months out,
Am gutting/refurbishing my home
Just returned from my silver wedding anniversary honeymoon (25 years)
Travelled, loved, lived, revived –
Haven’t got time to stop now: I have caught the train of Life in the fast lane,
making up for all those years of wearing the Fat Suit, dealing with 35 years of debilitating depression, dissatisfactions, financial insecurities…
I am very happy, am looking out for happiness and the glasses that are half-full around me. I am steering clear of negative thoughts, problems, others’ burdens unless necessary. I am cleansing myself, my home, my values, my ambitions, my responsibilities… I am paving the way for an, as yet unknown lifestyle, laying solid foundations for a goal which I have not even identified.
The choice is mine and is possible from a good timing point of view. My soul is free, preferably with my beloved husband, to dare undertake new projects… I have reached most of my goals, ambitions and obligations – all more or less at the same time. Now, I am free and at a happy loss of direction, having found a blank canvas.
The world is my oyster and I’m eating it!
Thank you my TT Friends for being alongside me on my journey of self-discovery, improvement, weight loss. Without your encouragement and support, I would not have reached many of these goals quite so fast and securely! I am now trying to cycle without stabilisers! So far so very good!
My very best wishes to you all,
Vim

Thank you Claire!
You certainly are one to make the world go round. Just by the very level way in which you describe coping with your spectrum of remarkably difficult and painful issues, all at once - YOU give us inspiration to strive to reach our own goals.
TTF is the first encounter with the solidary network perceived by us Europeans as being typically "American" - where usually "back patting" is derogatory but on this Forum feels to me very real!
I hope you are able to sort your issues half a day at a time with a few moments to BREATHE in between!
Keep well Claire!
Your Vim

Vim makes me smile too! She just exudes this quiet confidence, has a enormous lust for life and learning that is simply breathtaking to me, is clearly not afraid to seek out and pursue things that will improve her physical and emotional well-being, no matter the cost, and seems to have found an inner peace on a level that I am seeking. Just a very wise old soul who I can relate to, and who I am very happy to have made acquaintance with.

David!
Your words touch me deeply! Shall we try to Skype each other on Saturday (evening UK time is best for me).
Let's select two "deeper" questions each for discussion between us - anything under the sun, but preferably something "uncomfortable", so as to get to the "bottom" of what is really bothering us. How do you feel about that?
I am proposing for one topic "Silence". Start thinking and above all, feel!
Hope to speak David!
Cheers,
Vim

Silence, very interesting, and one that I think will be rather revealing. It's been on my mind of late. I will look for you then if my schedule allows.

Thanks David!
I am not offering tonight - 1 am here in London and I'm desperately in need of sleep! Hope to catch you tomorrow
And my second question will be "Noise" but as a separate topic from "Silence".
My two subjects done!
Tomorrow I hope!
Vim
