Default I'm home!!!

Hey fellow Losers,

I am home. the op was a huge success! I had a lot of pain the first night from air being trapped in my shoulders but after walking around like a loon yesterday I'm doing well. Getting in my 50ml every hour now and catching up on some sleep!

Feels good to be home! Thanks for all the support everyone... will write again later once I'm showered and settled!

Default Doing too well?

So I'm 3 days post-op now and seriously surprised - I have absolutely no pain and am wondering whether I've somehow managed to miss out on "hell week"? The worst part about being post-op is being extremely tired. My incisions are practically closed already too! I'm not complaining!!! But maybe the worst is still to come??

I haven't stepped on the scale again yet since day of surgery... I'm going to try and weigh only once a week (ha ha) so I dont get too obsessed.

So far so great!!

My doctor told me that some of us just adjust quickly. I was lucky as well. In fact, I felt guilty that I was given so much time off to heal. Although, I DID need those extra naps during the day.

My body did great. My mind and emotions???? that's a whole other story.

Congrats on beginning your journey and may you always have luck on your side.

Default Under 100!

Thanks Persephone - I guess of the lucky ones then! Although, I am feeling quite dizzy today... hmmm.

Okay, so I couldnt wait anymore to get on the scale so I woke up and just did it - and I'm under 100kg!!!! Not quite Onederland but a huge milestone for those of us who are metric!! 99.6kg (219.5 lb). So I'm down 1.2kg (2.6lb) since surgery and counting. It is my vow to never reach 100kg again!

Move over losers I'm sliding down the bench!

A happy yet dizzy me

Hi Koeksister Gwen!

Thanks - I am quite thrilled at my progress! I cant wait til next Tuesday though - then my staples get taken out (itching like mad) and I get to start drinking small amounts of diet coke or soda water - they say it's good to start burping after 2 weeks?!! I REALLY miss diet coke!
I'm experimenting with my own soups - getting in more protein that way than with the disgusting protein shakes anyway so would rather drink something I dont turn my nose up at while I'm only on fluids.
Today I also went to gym for the first time post-op. I took it slow and only did 30minutes of treadmill but felt good so I can slowly increase that and get fit.

I have skype - dont use it much - am on MSN more...
Skype: anhubs
MSN: thestudio@aquilapromotions.co.za

Will be cool to chat!
