Wow how time flies when you're having fun!!!!!!!
This has been one crazy adventure but so far I am absolutely loving every minute of it. As of Monday, which is 8 weeks since my surgery, I am down 42 pounds. It just seems so unreal. At times I think I can tell when I look in the mirror and at other times I am not so sure but people in town are telling me I look great or ask me how I am losing the weight.
My biggest jeans I can now pull them on and off without undoing them so it was time to start a pile of things I will never wear again. Yay!!!!!!!!
I started back at the gym at 5 weeks post op and have felt wonderful. Yesterday I did 55 minutes on the tread climber and burned 800 calories. Crazy but it feels so good to exercise and sweat. I started at the gym about 8 weeks before my surgery so it has felt good to get back to it. Maybe that addiction to food is being replaced with an addiction to exercise.
The eating and drinking is going really well I think. I have never had a problem getting in my fluids and I drink anywhere from 64 oz to 80 oz and just plain water tastes the best to me. Getting in the protein has to be a very thought out process for me and most days I am doing okay. Still slowly introducing new and of course healthy foods on a daily basis. If I don't chew well enough or eat that one bite too many I find it comes back up but even that is getting better.
I am loving this journey and like many my only regret is not doing it sooner. But this was my time and I was ready for it now.

Wow!
Tawna,
So glad all is going well for you.
9 weeks out for me and down 53 pounds! Haven;t started exercising - swear I will go to the gym tomorrow. (Bug me about it - would you?)
I don't get in as much fluids as you and the protein is a challenge. Foods are going ok though.
Keep us posted on your progress!
Stacey

Well I'm starting to experience some of those wonderful WOW moments.
Last weekend the kids and I went to visit family. My siblings had not seen me since before my surgery 2 months ago and they were amazed at how much weight I had lost in the last 2 months. It was fun to see the looks on their faces.
I am now wearing a size 18 down from a snug size 22 or 24. I feel so thin and I know it is only going to get better. I am noticing a huge difference on the inches lost lately.
I am addicted to the gym and love meeting a friend for our daily workouts. She is going to weight watchers and has lost 20 pounds so it is fun to just encourage each other along. I walk about 3 miles now on the tread climber (man I love that machine!!!!!!!!) doing a interval workout. Boy does that burn the calories. I have even started doing some intervals on the regular treadmill. I walk for 2 or 3 minutes and then I run for a minute and a half. I love it!!!!!!!! It feels so good. I also do some weight lifting alternating between legs, arms and chest and back. Nightly I do 4 pilates core exercises and have really noticed the difference in my core strength.
I ran into a friend yesterday and she said that I just glowed. I can't keep a smile off of my face I just feel so good.
Tuesday I go for my scope with Dr. Nohr. I don't anticipate anything unusual. I have been feeling great and food has been going great. The only time anything comes back up is if I don't eat slow enough or chew things well enough, especially meat. Fluids are going great and I get in more that enough water.
I have taken my pictures and if I can't figure how to put them up I will be calling on you Lisa to help me out. Maybe when we get together next you should give me a computer lesson.
