Thumbs up Cinderella

Christina:

You know that I think you're our own personal Cinderella here on the forum. You give hope to all of us that we truly can live happily ever after...even with twists, bumps and obstacles in the way. You've overcome so much in your life and our gracious God has rewarded you for your kindness, integrity, honor and suffering.

Congratulations on your re-birthday! Happiness couldn't happen to a better or more deserving person. Love you, girlfriend.

Dara,

You have served as a role model and mentor to me. You gave me hope that I too could fit into a size 6 then a size 4. You reached your goal, exceeded your hopes, and gave me and many others hope as well. You have a kind spirit about you and a true loving and giving heart. You have touched my heart so many times, and this time is no exception. Thank you for everything you do and everything you are. I love you chicken!!

Default Happy Re-birthday

Christina,

Your story brought back memories of the first time I met you at a support meeting at Julianna's. (Where is she lurking?)

Thank you for sharing. You have shared so much of your life with us here I feel honored. For this forum and the people here to instill that kind of trust is a compliment to all.

Default We've come a long way baby!!

Janet,

I remember meeting you for the first time at Julianna's as well. Things have certainly changed since the day that that shy fat girl walked into that meeting huh? I've had surgery and done fairly well if I do say so myself.. I know right?? Anyway I am thankful that I have felt so empowered and just so freaking happy since my surgery, well for the most part anyway.

I am so dang happy.. and I must share this cute story with you all. Today I had to go to Vista High School (My old stomping grounds) to drop off a form for work and when I was walking through the halls and thru the quad it was funny all of those young kids walking around. A couple of guys made cat calls to me and I had to turn to make sure they were really calling to me because it was at the end of the lunch period and it was crowded. So anyway one guy even told me I had a nice rack. I thought to myself.. oh honey if you only knew.. LOL Then I saw my niece and she ran over and gave me a hug. (Stuarts niece but will be mine soon enough.. ) Anyway it felt good that she wasn't embarrassed to see her old auntie at school and actually walked me to the office. It was funny.. anyway wanted to share.. even high school kids are giving me cat calls now.. what's up with that?? LOL

Christina~

Happy re-birthday to you. I remember when you went in for surgery. I was following your journal on obesity help and I was so worried about you. It felt like I already knew you and actually we kinda knew each other. Now, a year later, I am so close to you as if you were my sister. You are my sister in spirit and I am so happy for you and your successful year. Here's to another great year and may it be even better. I love you girl!

Hugs!

You know I keep telling you all the time that you mean the world to me. I'm so thankful that I've made such good friends on here. I never thought I would be able to have such good girl friends in mylife because I was always the fat girl that made the not so fat girls look good. Now I know what it really is to have true friends that love me for me no matter what. I LOVE YOU and thank you for being such a wonderful woman to learn from.

Cool Thanks Guys

Thank you Kim, Dale, Tonya, and Rain from the bottom of my heart. You guys keep me going on a daily basis. I have never been so completely happy and content with my life as I am now. I have true friends that I can count on and rely on and who can do the same of me. I have a fabulous fiance who treats me like a queen and I have two new extended families.. this one and Stuart's family as well. I feel like I have struck gold. Thank you all for your continuing friendships and support.

Today is my one year post-op with Dr. C.. I still can't believe it's been a year. In some ways I think.. wow I've made it.. I'm finally a long term post op.. in other ways I am sad.. It's over.. this incredible journey is over.. Then I realize that it's not truly over.. it's only just begun.. I have so many wonderful things to look forward to and I know now that I can look forward to them because I will be alive to see them happen. My marriage, children, and getting that career I have always wanted.. the doors are open wide for me and I am planning on keeping them that way.

Thank you all again.. you know I love ya!!!
